It did not take long for me to start to regret insisting that mom and grandpa spend more time together with me and Gracie. Actually, it only takes about five minutes of sitting at the diner with them for me to regret my request. Mom and grandpa were bickering about something before we ever sat down and by the time we’re ready to order, I’m ready to snap at Gracie. Times like this call for a milkshake.
