It was everywhere on social media when Isa got dumped by her longtime boyfriend and most Popular/handsome boy in school: Matt. Matthew Smith aka Mattie, was what the hottest boy in every highschool would be: Cute, sparkly blue eyes you could stare into all day long, popular, smart and captain of the football team. Every teacher, boy, girl, lunch lady and even the janitor loved him. And Isa was everything he was not: Nerdy with thick glasses on her face, plain long brown hair, a mole below the left side of her jaw, non-captain of anything, over-alls lover and pig tails lover, maths wizard, shy and timid with no friends. Still, everyone ignored the fact that they were the opposites of each other because they were in love and Mattie's beauty outshined hers. Their love was beautiful till the new girl arrived. It was on a Thursday afternoon when the bell for lunch rang. Isa grabbed her tray and headed over to the popular table where her boyfriend, his friends and every other popular person sat. She came to a stop when she saw there was no space. "uh, Mattie? where should I sit?" All conversations stopped as Matthew looked over at her. He looked around and saw there was nowhere to sit. Her spot has been taken by the newest pretty girl in school: Janine. "I'm sorry, Isa but there's no empty spot". He looked sorry but did he mean it? normally, he would get up and leave to another table with her in annoyance whenever his friends wouldn't let her sit with them. He would never eat lunch with her, not once had it happened. She stared at him. For some reason, he wasn't going to do that. "it's alright, I'll just sit somewhere else". she turned and left, holding back her tears. The whole cafeteria was watching. Far away to the left, five other girls sat watching in pity. Hannah school her head in pity. "I don't know about you guys but I smell a very bad break up coming". "Right? Matt's been giving Isa attitude lately like she's his clingy baby sister" Quinn added in pity. Quinn Zara. "I feel bad for her. Honestly, what did she expect? That just because they've been sweethearts since kindergarten doesn't excuse the fact that he's cute and popular now and she's...not". "But they're in love. And nothing is stronger than love. Right guys?" Hannah asked, hopefully. "I don't think so," Samelle said and all eyes followed her gaze to where she was staring at. Janine was laughing loudly to something funny. "Oh, you're so funny, Mattie!" she said, hitting him playfully on the arm. Zara's face paled. "Uh oh, she called him Mattie. Only Isa calls him that". Ixora sighed. "I knew it. Ever since Janine stepped into this school of ours and set her eyes on Matt, she's wanted him. it's obvious". "I feel bad for Isa because she's no match for Janine. The girl's pretty, smart and know how to dress well while Isa's the complete opposite. Matt will dump her for Janine if she doesn't do something about it, it's inevitable". Quinn said and the rest agreed with her. They watched the miserable girl eat alone at her table. After school, while the rest of the students were getting on the bus, Isa headed over to Matthew and where his car was parked. They always drive home together. "Ready to go?" she asked, interrupting the chat he was having with two of his friends and Janine. "yeah uh... I'm giving Janine a ride home". Isa frowned as Janine hid a smirk. "but there's no extra seat for her". "I know that, I was thinking you would take the bus since Janine's sitting in front with me. Just this once". Isa grew annoyed. "Sitting in front with you? Are you confused with who your girlfriend is now? that seat's reserved for me! She stole my seat at lunch and now she's gonna ride in front with you? No way, she can take the bus. there's plenty of seats there". She hurried to the front door, opened it, climbed in and slammed the door shut. "You go girl. Fight for your right!" Ixora whispered to her friends from the window of the bus where everyone had gathered to watch. Janine looked around and noticed all eyes were on her. She felt like the loser party. She didn't like taking the bus also. "Don't worry, Mattie. I'll just walk. My house isn't far thank God". She started walking down the road and Mattie felt bad for her. That night, Hannah went online to view a few i********: stories of some of her friends and what she saw on one of the pages with 5,000 followers shocked her. It was a picture of Janine and Matthew holding hands with the caption: Maninie x Jatthew. "Holy-!" she gasped and shared the link with her friends. they had a w******p page for just the five of them. Samelle: OMG!😯😯 Zara: This means he's breaking up with her right?😭 Quinn: Does she even know? Ixora: Poor girl's old school, I doubt she even knows what i********: means. Hannah: This pic doesn't prove anything, let's just see what happens tomorrow. Samelle: I hate to be the bad guy but I think Matthew and Janine would make the cutest power couple 🥰 Quinn: Sammmeeee! I don't want Isa to get her heart broken though 😔 Zara: She's just not the right person for him. I mean her outfits are completely childish. Ixora: You think?
