Chapter Eleven

DRAKE"S POV

When I told her we was going out to eat she had the look of uneasiness on her face. Luna what is wrong? "I am not allowed to go out." Yes you are allowed to do anything you want from this moment forward. Those rules no longer apply to you. Now let's go get you fed. I grad her by the hand an lead her out the room down the stairs and to my SUV outside. Lamar is waiting in the driver's seat of the SUV. "It took you guys long enough, I thought I was going to die of hunger out here." I just rolled my eyes at him. I helped Sophia climb in and then I got in after her. What's the closest restaurant to her Lamar? " It looks like it's an Olive Garden sir." Do you like Olive Garden Sophia? "I have never heard of it, I have only ever ate at the packhouse when I was allowed." Do you know what posta Is? "Yes that I do know." Well, it's like posta, salad, and bread sticks. "Okay." She says shyly. Olive Garden it is Lamar. "Yes Sir." We sit in silence while on the way to the restaurant. Sophia looks deep in thought. I wonder what she's thinking so I decide to break the silence and ask. Penny for your thoughts? "It's just everything is so knew to me, I haven't been out of that packhouse since the day I was brought there eight years ago, and everything is just so overwhelming." I take her hand in mine, I'm not going to pretend like I know what your going through, but I can promise you that I will be here every step of the way to help you. Her cheeks start to heat at the sight contact of our touch. "Thank you." You don't have to think me Luna, it is my job to help and protect you, and that is exactly what I am going to do. We arrive at the restaurant and I help Sophia out. We walk in and are seated immediately. "Hello, I am your server Tammy, what would you all like to drink?" Would you like some sweet tea Sophia? "I don't know what that is, I've only ever had water." Three sweet teas miss. "Okay, and would you like to go a head an order?" Yes, we would like one of everything on the menu. "Right away Sir, I will get that order in an be back right away with you drinks."

SOPHIA'S POV

I'm trying to keep my cool while in this restaurant. Everything is so overwhelming. All the new smells and people. I'm doing a lot better than I thought I would.

Agreed. And with that Lila retreated to the back of my mind. "We would like one of everything on the menu," I hear Drake say. Why did you order the whole menu? "We wanted you to be able to experience everything they have to offer Luna. I can feel my cheeks heating up again, Goddess what this guy makes me feel. Thank you I say shyly. Our server comes back with our teas, some Sald, and some bread sticks. I take a sip of my tea and moam at the taste of it!! This is amazing!! "I'm glad you like it mon amour."(My love) I don't know what he just called me, but lord it sounded so damn sexy coming from his lips. Finally the server brings out our order and my eyes litterky pop out my head. Its a good thing we are werewolves other wise we wouldn't be able to eat all of this. Drake let's me taste a little of everything, and my favorite was the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. I think I ate to much I say leaning back in my chair rubbing my stomach. This has been the most I've eaten in years. "I guess you don't have room for ice cream," Drake teases. My eyes light up at the sound of that. Could we get some? Yes Luna, there is an ice cream shop on the way back." Drake pays the ticket and wer're finally in the SUV on the way to get ice cream. We get to the ice cream shop and we all step out. We head over to the picnic table an take a seat. "What flavor would you like mon amour"? Surprise me. Both men head to the window to place or orders. When they get back Drake hands me mine. What is it i ask? "It's butter pecan ice cream with peanut butter sauce on top." I take a bite and I swear I'm in heaven. It's been so long since I've ate ice cream I almost forgot how wonderful it was. What kind did you get I ask Drake. "Strawberry cheese cake with cream on top." May I taste yours? "Go for it." I take a bite of his and it's just as amazing as mine. Lamar what flavor did you get? Birthday cake, here try it out. I take a bite of Lamars and tears start streaming down my face. "Don't cry, if you want we can switch, it's not big deal," No no it's not that, it's just that's the closest thing I've had to a birthday cake in a long time. The look in both there eyes is one of sadness. I continue to eat the rest of my ice cream in silence. We finish up and pile back in the SUV. On the way back I can barely keep my eyes open. The last thing I remember is thinking how amazing this night has been and that I don't want it to ever end, and with that I let sleep take over.

DRAKE'S POV

As we are riding back to the packhouse I look over an see Sophia has fallen asleep. She has curled up on the set and is asleep against the door. Oh how I wish it was me she was asleep on. "We have arrived back at the house," Lamar calls from the front. "Are you going to wake her"? No, she has had a long day, and is still healing from the beating she took. I ever so gently pick her up in my arms. She stirs a bit, but settles in my arms an rests her head on my chest. We make it in the door and all we can here are screams coming from the kitchen. What the f**k!? Lamar and I say at the same time. Carry here to the room an watch after I tell him. He takes her from me an carries her up the stairs. I walk into the kitchen and see flames coming from the stove and a bunch of people on the other end of the kitchen panicking. I grab the fire extinguisher an put out the flames on the stove. You all are a bunch of idiots I say before walking out the kitchen. I finally make it to my room an see Lamar standing garud. "Thank you," I say. "If you don't need me anymore I believe I have three lovely ladies waiting on me." "You better stop sleeping around man, you are going to end up causing problems for you and your mate once you find her. "I can't help it, I'm twenty-four and still haven't found her yet, and a man has needs. We can't all be a Saint like you." "You know ive taken my fair share of women to bed." "Yeah, but they have all been women you have dated, and even then the relationships didn't last long." "All I'm saying is just be careful bro, you don't want to get the wrong she wolf pregnant, or catch some STD from some human." "I use condoms, I'm not stupid." "Alright man, well I hope you get lucky, good night." "Goodnight." Lamar leaves and I head into my room. Sophia is curled up on the bed no doubt getting the best sleep she's ever had. A f*****g cot, I can't believe she was forced to live in a damn shoe closet and sleep on a f*****g cot. Blaze growls at the thought of how our mate as been treated. I am ready to get her out of here, she has been in this hell for far to long. As soon as I'm finished with the meeting tomorrow we are heading straight home. I grad a pair of boxers and sweatpants out my bag and head to the bathroom to take a quick shower. Once finished, I get dried off, dressed, and leave the bathroom. I walk over to the other side of the bed and lay down. I slip my arm under Sophia and place my other arm over her and pull her close to me. No sooner than I closed my eyes i drifted off.
