"So," the Major said. "Am I getting this clear? You two somehow got an anonymous tip about the location of the people who may or may not have attacked you. And you want me and my team to let you tag with us while we assault that place."
"Yes," I said.
I told Grandpa he didn't have to come, but he told me he didn't take attacks on his family lightly.
It was his right as head of the family, so I just shrugged.
"And you want me to do it, instead of telling your husband," the Major said, "because?"
"Because you can do it anonymously," I said, "and Jack can't. He's under a lot more observation and pressure than you are."
