I sent the report, together with the bill, and promptly forgot about Mr. Goward. I was busy working and dealing with our new property. The boiler was installed; now we didn't have to carry hot water to the bathroom and could shower properly. The barn also had magic in it, despite not having anything of interest in it. I was starting to settle into this life. While fixing farm equipment was below my capabilities, the respect I got for fixing things my colleagues couldn't (I once machined a part that was out of production, saving a farmer from buying a new tractor; I billed him for the hours, but he was happy).
