"So, what do you think, boss?" the secretary, who had been waiting in the car, asked Mr. Goward, once he escorted Mrs. Bedwen out of the building.
"She's interesting," Mr. Goward noted. "She noticed the fire hazard and did everything with no lens."
"But how could she, sir?" the secretary asked. He was familiar enough with magic. "See at that detail without a magnifying lens."
"It must be Bedwen's influence," Mr. Goward said. "Who knows what kind of training the Inquisition provided its own dark mages? David Bedwen would have access to all his family's archives. Who knows what they contained."
The one thing they couldn't confiscate from the Inquisition families was their knowledge. Their properties, money, land, all were taken away. And the archives, the famous Inquisition archives,
