Mr. Braham refused to drive there, saying he didn't want to get the curse or get anywhere near the house.
I then convinced him to drop us there, and we would walk back to the inn.
He did tell us the story of the house, though.
"A dark mage from Ecton lived in that house," Mr. Braham said. "He moved there after retirement and lived quietly for a year. He had no wife or kids, and we rarely saw him around town. At some point, he stopped coming, and there were many rumors as to his location. Everybody was curious but too afraid to pay him a visit. We're not used to dark mages around here, you see."
No decent mage would stay in such a place.
