The Walk Back

Maze P.O.V

After Ashley handled that rude customer, I proceeded to continue my work shift. Throughout that time, I continued to think of that man, especially his eyes. Why was I only thinking of his eyes? It was as if they were the only thing that was in front of me. I just met him today, but why does it feel like I met him before. Like in my childhood; I must be going crazy. I was able to get myself together and complete working. As we locked up, I confess to Ashley what's been going on.

 "So what do you think it means;" I said walking out.

 "Well, Isn't it obvious?" Ashley said.

 "What do you mean?" I said confused

 "You, my dear friend, have a crush on that guy~," said Ashley

That's crazy; I hate people like him. Always on their high horse and thinking everything handed to them.

 "That's stupid. He acted all high and mighty like he owned the place. I might just be holding a grudge" I said walking.

 "Sure, whatever you say. Anyways, see you at the ceremony." Ashley said getting into her car; "You too." I said happily.

It can be true what Ashley said. I mean, I just looked at the guy, love, at first sight, isn't really. Sure finding the person attractive at first sight is reasonable, but falling in love? You need to learn about a person and not just jump into a relationship. I need to clear my head. 

I head down to the forest. There was a restricted area I made to get away from society. It's surprising what some old police tape can do for you. After I walk past the tape, I find myself at a waterfall. It glows at night like it's a star and the plants look more beautiful at night. I sometimes find myself coming here three times a day. I need to clear my head of all the stress built up. It's nice to be by yourself and be at peace.

                                                                                ~Time Skip~

I've been here for four hours. It only feels like minutes have passed. I get ready to got home when I hear tree branches snapping. Only I know about this spot. I thought no one would want to cross the tape. I start running; I don't know what is coming or who is coming, all I know is that I'm not getting caught by them. I start to see the police tape I put. I was about to reach it, but something jumped in my path.

It was a big black wolf, with dark red eyes. It stared at me, ready to eat me. But instead, it just stood there, looking at me.

 -What the heck is that thing doing here?- I thought.

It got closer and started sniffing me. I quickly hit it with my purse and ran for my life. I wasn't planning on dying, I decided when that time comes. I can hear it right behind me, catching up. I got out of the forest and the wolf stopped in its tracks. We had one last look before he turned around and returned to the woods. 

 -What the heck was that?! I've never seen a wolf in that area before. Could I've been close to its den or did I look threatening? But I was there for hours, how come it didn't attack me earlier? This day has been so weird.-

After I get home, I immediately go upstairs and take a shower. I let the hot water hit me and the steam build-up. I don't know why this is happening. I just want to forget what happened and go to sleep. I finish my shower and get dressed. I go downstairs and try to enjoy dinner with my family.
