I wake up to the sound of birds chirping on my terrace. I could get used to waking up like this, but I still prefer going on a run before starting my day. I get up and head to the shower. I turn the shower on and feel the hot water touching my skin.
I get out, wrapped in a towel and go to my room; When I enter the room, a light green dress and white heels were on my bed; Next to it, was a card saying,
"Your dress for the day. I hope you enjoy it! Sincerely, Mary."
I smiled at the card, happy knowing I have another person looking out for me in here. I quickly put on the dress, It was gorgeous. I put my hair in a bun and left it to the kitchen. On my way there, I notice the paintings of the King and Queen with their son; I looked and I saw the queen holding two babies. That must've been her child that passed away. That must've hurt, but she moved on from it pretty quick. I snap out of my thoughts and head downstairs. I get there and I see Ashley working.
"Hey Stranger," I said scaring her;
"Hey, It's great to see you." She said hugging me.
"It's nice to see a familiar face," I said.
While we talked, we hear a pair of heels walking into the kitchen.
"Hey, where's my food?! You're supposed to have my food ready!" said Rebecca screaming.
"I'm supposed to serve the Royal family first, not second in commands," said Ashley sassy.
Rebecca stormed out of the kitchen; Ashley and I laughed so hard.
"Well, now that she's gone, here's your breakfast," she said handing me breakfast.
"But I'm not royalty?" I said.
"Well, you're a descendant to the royal family. So, you get breakfast first." Ashley said.
I grabbed my plate and ate my breakfast there. We chatted for some time as she served the Royals.
Some time passes, and It's time for us to start our day. I say goodbye to Ashley and head to my room to begin.
When I enter my room, I see a woman standing near a chalkboard along with one single desk.
"Hello Ms. Ross, I'm Riley. I'll be your teacher in your journey to becoming a leader." She said smiling.
I felt weird about this because I didn't know what I was getting into. I go and have a seat at the desk and she begins to talk about the legacy left behind by the Ross family for centuries. It was interesting to hear all the lives and strategies used by this family over the years.
It's incredible how such a small group of people was able to conquer so much. It was admirable.
~Time Skip~
I was finally done with my lesson and got to leave. That was a lot of information. I was still thinking about it on my way to the kitchen. I met up with Ashley and had lunch together in the castle garden.
"So how's your day so far?" Ashley said.
"Good, I learned about the family's history and it was intriguing," I said.
"Great, I've been decided meal plans and prepping the lunch for the family and the staff." By the way, how is it?" she said nervously.
"It's great. You're great at this." I said.
"Oh thank god! I thought I did something wrong," she said relieved.
"Trust me if someone thinks this is bad, then they are either delusional or stupid," I said.
"Shh, you don't know if someone hears us," she said laughing.
As we were talking we hear footsteps. We then see two tall men, who seem like guards, walking the perimeter.
"Oh, the guards. I didn't know they walked around here," she said.
"Well, I'm not surprised, this is part of the castle," I said.
As they passed by, they greeted us with "Hello". But as they walked by, I noticed something about the guard. He had a weird look in his eyes. It took me a second to realize, it was him. That was the man from the incident at the bakery.
