“Lux?” I step into the small hut. There is no bed in here, just a makeshift mat I spread on straws I gathered. A chair and table are the only pieces of furniture in the room.
“Lux?”
I run out of the hut and scan the entire place. Aside from the hoots of birds and the cricket sounds, there was nothing else to be heard for miles.
“Lux!” I yell his name, hoping he was near enough to hear them and come rushing back.
My heart hammered in my chest. Could it be that he left because I've not been here in two days? I bit my bottom lips as I gazed out at the vast forest in front of me.
Goddess, I have never felt this way about another person. Here I am, getting worried about someone I just met. Yet, I can't help it. He lost his memories. Out there isn't the right place for him. Who knows, he might end up dead should he be caught by the wrong people.
“Lux!” I yell, hoping against hope that he might appear in front of me, to put my mind at ease. But nothing of that sort happened.
I kept on calling until my voice went hoarse, but I didn't see him. I glance at the basket I brought for him. The food I made stared back at me, taunting and jeering at how much I put into preparing the food, only to discover that the person I sacrificed my time for wasn't there.
“Lala?”
The voice startled me. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't see him approaching until it was too late.
Standing in front of me is the same vampire I saved, in all his glory, shirtless with only a small short covering his arse. My eyes trailed down his body. It started from his red hair, which is a bit past his shoulder, to his chest.
Oh, my pretty goddess!
His muscles seemed so unreal. His abs glistened with the water that trailed down his hair.
I follow the trail down his body until my eyes stopped short on the little thing he wore on his waist. I think I died for a moment. Holy goddess! The man is fully endowed. I've seen my fair share of naked pack members, but none can be compared to Lux, though partially clothed.
My cheeks turned red the moment I noticed him looking intently at me. I swallowed.
“I thought you had abandoned me.” He closed the distance between us, sounding like a wounded child. His green eyes sparkled like rare gems, further highlighting the beauty of the man in front of me.
I sigh, “My father grounded me for days. I only got the opportunity to leave today.” I tried not to look at his naked chest. “Where have you been?”
“I went to have a bath. It has been days since I left the hut. I decided to freshen up today.” He grinned.
My heart stopped beating. Goddess, help my soul. I don't know how to react to his blinding handsomeness. My heart skipped beats before it increased the tempo of its beat. I gulped.
What is it about this man that makes me throw my sanity out the window? I have seen my fair share of handsome men, yet, none of them makes my heart beat as fast as him.
All he needs to do is flash a smile my way, and I will willingly be his slave. He won't sweat on it. It will only take a smile.
“Lala?” He waved a palm on my face.
I blink, startled by my thoughts. He gazed down at me with a confused expression on his face. “What were you thinking about?”
“Me?” I nervously chuckled, to hide how nervous I felt. “Why do you think I was thinking of something?” I try to hide the blush on my cheeks, but it was impossible.
“Hmm.” He lean closer, so we were only a hair breath apart. His green eyes lock mine in place as a small smile graced his face. “You are funny. You know that, right?” He raise a brow as a playful smirk graced his lips.
My heart hammered in my chest at the proximity. The clenching of my abdomen was enough to make me double over, but I bit my bottom lip.
I coughed and turned my face, so I wasn't looking at him any more.
“Why don't you go wear some clothing? I brought food for you.” I folded my arms and tried not to look at those mouth-watering abs. Had Lux been a werewolf, I will be tempted to ask him to mate with me.
“I don't have anything to wear aside from those bloody, stinky clothes.” He wrinkled his nose as he straightened. “I don't want to wear those. My nose is rather sensitive.”
I sighed. “I will get some of my brother's clothing for you next time I visit. For now, you can use the shawl I draped on that chair.” I moved into the house. I was certain not to look at his naked chest, else I might be tempted to do something I will regret.
Being next to Lux isn't good for me. It made me eager to climb on his body, and lick those—
“Lala!”
I almost jumped out of my skin at the shout. I widened my eyes as I turned towards him.
“Must you shout at me?” I glare at him, feeling pissed for reasons best known to me.
“I'm sorry. You zoomed out on me, so….” He trailed off with a shrug. The gesture is innocent, yet, I didn't find it to be one. The movement caused his abs to bunch up once more.
“I'm coming!” I ran towards the only creek in the forest, to prevent my stupid self from making a fool of myself.
