Greenwoods, the home to all mythical beings or night creatures as humans called them was starting to die off and only the power of the restorative gem could bring it back to life. CHAPTER 1
In Greenwoods... A mystical land filled with several different life forms and creatures. All this cleverly hidden from human sight. "It's all your fault, I'm begging you to please leave." Shouted an emotion filled voice with a sob clogged in her throat. "But I've done nothing wrong. I have no idea why you are even so angry." Another one shouted but with a bit of anger and confusion. "Of course you don't. It doesn't matter anyways. Just leave and don't return back here." The first one, a beautiful with azure colored hair and deep blue eyes. Azure colored scales ran down her arm and some were designed beautifully on her face. "Natasha, I have no idea what's come over you but I assure you that I didn't do what you just accused me of." The other girl explained. Violet coloured hair and amethyst eyes which had a prismatic look to them. Scales ran down the both sides of her face, the same colour as her eyes. "Listen Iris, I don't want to listen anymore. You are just not needed here anymore. You leaving would be a glorious gift to me!" Natasha yelled, spilling out her emotions in rage and tears. The river close to the both girls was rising and dropping with each heave of Natasha's chest, indicating that Natasha was really angry. Iris's power of the wind didn't help as it blew ferociously, fanning all the trees but both girls remained unmoved by whatever their powers were throwing at them. Iris had never imagined that her best friend would say such hurtful things to her . "I'll leave Natasha, I'll disappear completely from your world." Iris said, and threw the serpent gem on her forehead to the floor before shifting into her serpent crinos form and slithering away. Natasha collapsed to the grass in tears , the waters were still troubled but everything around her had been drowned out as she watched Iris's serpent gem loose it's violet glow slowly. **************************** Moments later, two guys rushed to Natasha's side trying to pick her off the ground. "Nat, Nat? What's wrong? why are you like this?" Brian called out as he pulled her into his arms. She was practically lifeless, no emotion in her eyes just tears streaming down her cheeks. Brian was a dragon shifter but he was currently in his crinos form, brown earthy scales with beautiful silver veins ran along his arms and the left side of his face. He had chocolate colored hair and brownish silvery eyes. "Tasha, what happened? You look like a mess and the river is currently responding to the chaos within you. What happened?!" Nathan questioned. He was a vampire-white witch hybrid and although he was a hybrid he was born to pure blood and a mixed blood making his vampire side more dominant. He had obsidian coloured hair and beautiful sanguine colored eyes that dimmed or brightened depending on his mood. And since Nathan was a hybrid, his white witch side was a whole other personality. "Where's Iris? I swear she'd be mad if she...." Brian paused after noticing the shift in Natasha's mood after he mentioned Iris. Her body stilled and her pupils dilated in both fear and regret. "Nat what happened between you and Iris? Did you guys have a fight?" Nathan asked but this time he was gentler and just like Brian he held her hands. Natasha let out a sob a possibly a growl that she had no idea she was holding in. "I did something horri......ble, I sent ...... her away." The two boys looked absolutely confused. "Sent her away? What sort of sending away? Did the two of decide to stay away from each other for a while?" Brian asked. Natasha gently pulled open her hand that held Iris's serpent gem and it had almost lost all its glow. Brian and Nathan were in shock. Leaving behind a gem from any of the tribes was considered breaking of ties. The girls had had little spats before but never something this huge. "I sent her away. I saw her tears before she left and I still let her leave. She'll never forgive me." Natasha continued to sob as she spoke. Brian and Nathan took the shock hard but they had to get Natasha to a bed and find ways to calm her down. She didn't seem right mentally and emotionally. "Come on, let's get her in Brian."Nathan said and they took her to their home. ************************************** Twenty years Later Greenwoods was falling apart and the changes started two moon nights ago. Forests were dieing of and so we're low land creatures. Sickness broke out at several intervals, nearly ending some creatures. Meanwhile Natasha, Brian and Nathan were all seated cross-legged inside a red and gold designed Pagoda. An older man sat before them in his dull but regal blue robe. He was a sage, one of the wisest in Greenwoods. "I've told you all. This journey cannot commence without Iris." The sage master said. "It's been twenty years, do you think she'd be willing to come back?" Natasha questioned. She needed an answer, just a little inkling of hope would go a long way for her. The sage sighed. "That I can't tell you. You'll have to find out yourself." Nathan and Brian watched as Natasha's hopes dashed once more. She'd punished herself everyday for twenty years and they could do nothing about it. "Master Sorin can you give us a clue as to where she is then? I'm sure she went to the human world but with her serpent gem here we can't trace her exact location." Nathan explained. Master Sorin nodded. "She works as a waitress in some famous restaurant over there. You can't miss it." Brian slipped his hands into Natasha's. He comforted her. **************************** Days later, Natasha, Nathan and Brian ventured into the human realm. The human realm and Greenwoods were separated by an invisible barrier and gave easy access for the people of Greenwoods to go out and come in as they wished but the people of Greenwoods didn't do that, they maintained their side of the barrier real well. "Are you sure it's safe for us out here? I feel like we stick out like sore thumbs." Brian scowled. "I can't say it doesn't feel weird but we have to do this." Natasha sighed as she took in the not so impressive scenery before her. The three of them made their way into the town that the sage had directed them to in hopes of finding Iris. BLUE EDGE STUDIO Inside one of the most famous studios in Nashville town, Iris stood by her dressing room window with a very sad look. She'd been staring at nothing for almost twenty minutes. "Don't tell me you've been here since I left you.!" A voice rang out instantly bringing Iris to her senses. Iris smiled a bit after recognising the voice. "Just a bit spaced out today. It's our big day today." "More reason to be worried about you. You've been off for days now. Is there anything bothering you? You know you can share anything with me right?" The girl said. Iris sighed. "I'm aware Ava but I'm really alright. Just remembered some things from the past." Ava nodded. She had smokey greenish-black hair and emerald green eyes. "If you say so. now leave the window, you'll catch a cold if you keep standing here." Iris finally let Ava drag her off to a chair. Soon after someone else walks into Iris's dressing room. "Are you girls alright in here?" A masculine voice asked this time. "Totally fine Max, no problems over here. What's up with you?" Ava questioned. Max smiled. He had goldish-brown eyes and a shade of terracotta hair. "I just finished with the stage arrangements, you guys wanna come check it out?" Ava and Iris nodded in agreement and followed Max out of the room.
