Cora's Point of View
Two months later
"Again," Elder Rachel said as I threw an energy ball into the air. I formed another energy ball in my hands and threw it at the target.
"Again," She yelled.
I did it five more times before I looked at her and said, "enough for today, Rachel. It is time for a break."
Ever since Lenny went dark and blasted Elder Rachel and Helen with her magic, Elder Rachel has been different. It took the two witches about a week to wake up, but Elder Rachel changed. She refuses to talk about what happened, and if anyone mentions Lenny, she walks away.
I began training with her about a week after she woke up. But lately, she has been pushing me to work on my powers.
"We are not done. Start making energy rings," She said as she walked behind me and leaned on a tree.
I looked at Elder Rachel and said, "I am tired. Zack has been gone for two days. I don't feel well, and I just want to go home."
She sighed and said, "Fine, but you need to be here bright and early in the morning." And with that said, she opened a portal and disappeared.
I let out the breath I was holding and sat down on the ground. I felt tired and weak. So I laid back and looked up at the blue sky and just enjoyed laying there.
I must have fallen asleep because when I looked up at the sky again, the sun was setting. I got up off the ground and felt a little dizzy, so I sat back down.
Hopefully, Zack was home soon, or the latest, by the morning. I laid back on the grass because I felt sick and closed my eyes.
"Hello, Cora," A woman said. I sat up and looked around, and there right by the trees, stood Lenny with a creepy smile plastered on her face.
"Lenny?" I said.
She walked towards me, and I quickly got up. "You have been a naughty girl Cora," She said with a tsk.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I raised my hands and summoned an energy ball.
"You have been sleeping with my mate and apparently are pregnant by him as well," She said as she circled me. Her arm was in the air, and I could feel her magic surrounding me.
"He is my mate, and I am not pregnant."
"Regardless if you believe me or not, that bastard growing in your stomach will die by my hands," She said as she walked away from me, and as she reached the tree line, she said, "Oh, and Cora, I am coming."
She disappeared as I threw an energy ball at her and screamed into the air. I woke up and quickly sat up. The sky was dark, and the moon was high in the sky.
"It was just a dream," I said as I stood up and began to walk towards home. Once I could see the cabin Zack, and I shared noticed the lights on and ran home.
I ran into the cabin. "Zack," I shouted.
"Oh, my goddess, where have you been?" He said as he walked out of the kitchen.
I jumped into his arms and kissed him.
"Where," Kiss. "Have," Kiss. "Been," Kiss.
I stopped kissing him and put my forehead on his. "I was training with Elder Rachel, and I fell asleep. I missed you."
"I missed you too. How are you feeling?" He asked.
"Okay. Today I have not been feeling the greatest."
"How about I remedy that," he said as he started walking towards our room.
That night I did not get any sleep, and by the time the sun rose high in the sky, I felt amazing.
I knew training with Elder Rachel today was going to suck, and as I slowly got out of bed, Zack grabbed me and pulled me back into his arms.
"Where do you think you are going?" He grumbled.
"I have training," I said as I tried to get out of his embrace.
"No. Today you are mine," He said as he began to kiss the sweet spot on my neck and run his hands down my body. I moaned as he slid his fingers between my folds, and I felt him smile as he kissed me again.
I woke up to someone pounding on the door and Zack grumbling he would get it. I felt him leave the bed and wished he was still here because it felt so empty without him.
"Rachel, she has had enough," I heard Zack yell.
I quickly got out of bed and put on a robe, and hurried to the front door. But, unfortunately, by the time I reached them, they were fighting.
"What is going on?" I yelled.
They both stopped yelling and looked at me.
"You didn't show up," Elder Rachel said.
"I was with my mate. He has not been home for several days. Not only did I need to feed, but I missed him."
"No excuses. You need to train," The Elder said.
"Elder Rachel, how much more do I need to learn?" I asked. For the past several weeks, I had learned a lot. I learned how to summon energy balls, energy rings, fire, portals, and so much more. It was easy for me.
"You need to practice. Lenny is nearly two hundred years old and very skilled. But, with her dark powers now, I have no clue what she is capable of," She said.
"If I know it all, then I am fine. I can practice, but Elder Rachel, I need a break. I have not been feeling well for a while now. I was so drained yesterday I fell asleep in the meadow we were training at."
She thought about it and sighed. "Fine. Three days a week, we will train, but if you slack one bit back to regular training."
"Deal."
