Part three of the Haven series. * (Recap of what happened in the last chapter of Hidden) Zack's Point of View I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door and Cora starting to stir. "Who is it?" She said with a sleepy voice. "I'm not sure, baby. Stay here, and I'll see who it is," I said as I kissed her and got out of bed. I grabbed my pants and looked at her with a smile on my face. She rolled over to my side of the bed, and she had her eyes closed. "Hurry back." "I will," I said as I walked out of the room. I walked to the front door and opened it. "Zack, can we talk?" Lenny said when I opened the door. "What about?" I asked. "I got the potion. We can finally be together, " she said as she tried to touch my chest, but I backed away. Then, I heard Cora's footsteps, and I knew she was listening. "Lenny, we are done. We were never a thing." But before I could say anything, she cut me off. "We were mates before she came into the picture. She stole that from us," Lenny said with tears in her eyes. "No. You took our bond and threw it out. You chose another, and as time went on, that bond disappeared. I was blessed to get a second bond because dragons don't get one, and I did. I will not throw my second chance at happiness away for you. I thought you were what I wanted, but then I realized I love Cora. She has my heart." "No, I won't accept that," she said. "Lenny, go. One day you will find your happiness, but don't ruin mine." "But I love you," she said as she tried to grab my hand, but I dodged her. "Your love came too late. My heart is with another, and she is waiting in my bed. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to make breakfast for her," I said as I closed the door in her face. I could hear her sobs, but I walked towards the hallway my mate was standing in. As I approached her, I smiled and reached got her. "You love me?" She said with a shaky voice and tears in her eyes. "I do." And I kissed her mouth. "You told her you were going to make breakfast for me." "I am." "But I don't eat real food," she said. She ran her hand up my chest. "Well, I have a sausage that you can eat," I said with a smirk, and I grabbed her hand and slid it down to my hard-on. She began to laugh. "That is funny, and I will gladly eat your sausage." As I laid in bed holding my sleeping mate, I couldn't help but smile. I was thankful to be given a second chance at love. I don't know what the future holds, but I know I will never let her go. Meanwhile, outside, hidden in the shadows, stood Lenny with tears streaming down her face. She had lost the man she had loved all because of her mother and that succubus. She could feel the anger inside of her rise, and the weather went from blue skies to dark and grey. Then, as she felt a new power form inside of her, the wind began to pick up, and Helen and her mother came running towards her. "Lenny, Stop," Her mother screamed, but the power felt good. "He was mine, and you took him from me, just like that succubus did. I will never forgive you," she shouted as the last bit of power flowed through her. "What have you done?" Her mother said. Lenny looked at her and smiled. "It no longer matters." And sent a wave of energy, causing the two witches to fly in the air and crash to the ground. Neither woman moved, and Lenny no longer cared. Lenny walked into the street, and the villagers just stood there staring at her. Finally, she levitated into the air and said, "Hear me, Haven. A new power has arrived, and you will all bow to my feet." Lenny watched as Zack came running out of his cottage with that woman behind him and smiled. "Lenny," He screamed, and she disappeared. "One day soon, I will return for him. He will be mine," He heard her whisper in the air. Zack ignored what he heard and rushed over to Elder Rachel and Helen and checked on them. "Are they okay?" Cora asked him. "They are both breathing." He said as he checked their pulses. Just as he picked up, Elder Rachel Gabe came running over to him and stopped when he saw both witches knocked out. "What happened?" He asked. "Lenny Happened. We need to get them to the coven to be looked at." "I'll take Helen," Gabe said as he grabbed Helen off the ground, and both men started to walk through the village. Village members followed them along with their mates, and when they got to the clearing to shift, they set the women down. Both of them walked over to their mates and kissed them. They knew it might be a day or two before they could return. After saying their goodbyes, they walked further into the clearing and changed into their dragons. They grabbed the women lying on the ground and took off to the skies. After ten minutes of flying, the dragons circled the coven, and Zack's black dragon let out a roar letting those down below know something was going on. They slowly descended to the ground and carefully placed the two women down. Coven members rushed over to the women as they landed and changed into the human form.
