Title:* The Devil’s Obsession

Author:* Mia Botha

Description:*

Ayla thought she had finally escaped.

She left her past behind—broken trust, a shattered family, and a life filled with shadows. All she wanted was a fresh start, far away from the pain that haunted her. But one rainy night changes everything. A black car. A man with eyes like storms. A voice that commands obedience. And a stare that sees straight through her soul.

Damon King isn’t a man easily forgotten.

He's rich, powerful, cold, and terrifyingly calm. He runs his empire with silence and steel, feared by enemies and worshipped by those who dare to stay close. But beneath the flawless suits and piercing eyes lies something even darker. Damon doesn’t fall in love. He claims, and Ayla has just become his newest obsession.

He says she belongs to him.

She says he’s insane.

But the longer she stays in his world, the more Ayla begins to question everything. Why does this stranger know her name? Why does he look at her like she’s a secret he’s been waiting to uncover? And why, despite everything in her telling her to run, does her heart keep pulling her closer?

This is not a love story.

It is a war between fire and ice. Between past and present. Between freedom and surrender.Caught in Damon’s world, Ayla must navigate dangerous power games, twisted desires, and a man whose obsession burns hotter than hell itself. But as the truth unfolds, she’ll realize Damon isn’t just fighting to keep her—he’s fighting demons even she can’t imagine.

And if she’s not careful,

She might fall in love with one..

Episode1-The Encounter
The rain pounded harder as I ran, clutching my bag to my chest like it was the only thing keeping me grounded. My lungs burned. My shoes slapped against the wet pavement. I didn’t look back. I couldn’t. All I knew was that I had to get away. From what, exactly? I wasn’t sure anymore. The storm. The people I left behind. The weight of a life I never asked for. All of it. Lightning split the sky above the city, and I flinched as thunder crashed like an explosion. The streets were nearly empty, just shadows and headlights and the endless roar of water. I turned the corner, sprinting blindly And nearly collided with a black car screeching to a halt in front of me. Tires spun, spraying a wave of dirty water across my legs. I stumbled back, heart slamming in my chest. The car was sleek, expensive, and out of place on this street. Tinted windows. No plates. The kind of car you don’t forget and don’t mess with. The front window slid down. Cold gray eyes stared out at me. Sharp. Calculated. Watching. Get in,” the man said. His voice was smooth, dark, and calm too calm. It sent a chill I blinked, trembling. “You’ve got the wrong person.” He didn’t respond. Didn’t blink. Didn’t move. Just stared, like I was a puzzle he already knew how to solve. Like I was a thing he’d been waiting to collect. The back door opened. Two men in black suits stepped out—tall, broad, silent. My body reacted before my mind could catch up. Run. I turned and took off, heart pounding, legs screaming, slipping on the rain-slick street. I weaved between trash bins and broken fences, barely seeing through the downpour. My bag banged against my side. My hair clung to my face. But I kept going. Until a hand grabbed me. Strong. Fast. Brutal. I screamed and thrashed as I was yanked back, arms flailing, feet scraping against the pavement. I kicked, twisted, tried to claw free. Then he was there. The man with the gray eyes. He moved like he had all the time in the world. He stepped in front of me, rain running down his face, soaking his tailored coat. His jaw was sharp, his expression unreadable. And his eyes—those eyes were locked onto me like he saw through every wall I’d ever built. He leaned in close, close enough for me to feel the heat of his breath against my cheek. “You’re mine,” he murmured.through me colder than the rain.My breath caught. Everything around us seemed to vanish—the rain, the street, the cold. All that existed was that voice, that gaze, and the terrifying certainty behind his words. I opened my mouth to speak, to scream, to fight but nothing came out. Because deep down… a part of me knew this wasn’t the first time I’d seen those eyes. -
