Three Days Before Christmas Eve
Third Persons POV,
A woman shouting outside her apartment door awoke her up.
"Hey! Open up the door!" The woman's voice cracked as she banged loudly on the door. After making the woman wait for a few minutes, Eirah finally stood up from her bed and walked towards the door.
"Oh, Good Morning Mrs. Sanchez." She happily greeted the homeowner. " I'm sorry, but can you come back tomorrow? I'm exhausted today and I don't have any cash on me right now, but don't worry, I'll be paying my balance tomorrow, I promise." Eirah swiftly closed the door.
"Make sure you'll be able to pay that balance of yours and your rent for this month, or else you'll be sleeping on the pavement this Christmas." The homeowner shouted as she moved towards the next apartment door, continuing her shouting.
Eirah stood there staring blankly at the coffee table with a lot of mess, and as she stood up a bird suddenly hit her apartment window.
"Oh my!" Eirah shouted as she was startled by the birds' action. As she moved towards the cracked window she suddenly jolted as she found a new inspiration to get her imagination moving. She went to her art room and started to place the blank canvas on the stand and mixed a new set of paint.
She just stood up there looking for the right angle to start her painting.
And as she closed her eyes, it was there, the man from his dreams.
Eirah pouted as she forgot the inspiration she had when she started to imagine the figure of that guy.
"This is pointless. How can I get things done if I can't even make any progress?" She said to herself. " I guess a hot coffee might ignite the spark of my creativity in me." She added as she threw the paintbrush to the ground.
She walked towards the coat rack and grabbed her fur coat and as she was about to leave, a familiar voice called out her name.
"Eirah wait!" A familiar voice called out Eirah's name.
"Oh hi Aaron, what's up?" She answered as she stopped moving to look at Aaron who was running towards her. "I'm heading outside to get some coffee. Want to come?" She added.
"Oh no, thank you for offering, but I have to tell you something. Uhm, we will be having a Christmas Eve party and I hope you'll come and join us? Aaron offered as he stood up next to Eirah.
"Yeah, I would like to come." She happily agreed, and started to walk away smiling.
Eirah walked towards the front door where Mrs. Sanchez lives. She started to duck in order to not be seen by the homeowner while she walked past her window.
"I saw you there, Eirah! Stop hiding from me!" Mrs. Sanchez shouted as she looked outside the window, while Eirah ran outside. "I like that kid, but I like money even more." Mrs. Sanchez whispered as she went back to her seat to watch the television.
Eirah chuckled as she was running away from the sight of Mrs. Sanchez.
"I'll make sure to pay it back soon, bye ill be back soon!!" Eirah shouts as she runs.
Eirah ran towards the coffee shop that was a few blocks away from her apartment.
She grabbed the handle of the door of the coffee shop, and she pushed it gently, but as she was about to enter, an unknown guy suddenly rushed in, pushing her to the side. "Hey watch out where you place that body of yours, you might hurt somebody next time!" She shouted aggressively to the guy who bumped into her.
"I'm really sorry I'm kind of in a hurry, my wife is kind of asking me to get some coffee, and she'll get mad at me." The guy explained.
"Okay," Eirah said while giving him a side eye. "Oh hi! Evron, can I get the usual?" She said while moving past the guy who was standing beside her.
"How is your day? By the way, let me introduce you to our new barista." Evron replied as he pointed at the guy behind Eirah.
"Is he the new barista? But he said he had--- Okay whatever." She added as she started to roll her eyes as she looked towards the new barista Evron mentioned.
"Sorry I bumped into you earlier, I was in a hurry because this is my first day here." The Unknown guy added as he tried to shake Eirah's hands. "I'm Jonathan. It's nice to meet you, and yeah, I don't have a wife." He added as he chuckled while giving his hand to Eirah to shake.
"Here's your usual order, Ms. Eirah." Evron said as he cut the tension between the two.
"Thanks Evron, here's the bill." Eirah replied as she gave the bill to Evron and grabbed the coffee and a piece of biscuite.
Eirah started to walk away from the counter and went outside the coffee shop to enjoy the coffee she had just bought.
"Uhm, Hey Ms. Eirah! You forgot your change." Jonathan shouted as he chased after Eirah, who was walking away from the coffeshop back to her apartment.
"Oh, sorry and thanks," Eirah said as she reached for Jonathan's hands.
"Come back again tomorrow." Jonathan added as he waved to Eirah.
After walking for a few minutes, Eirah reached her apartment and went inside.
Her phone rang as she was about to go back to her art room to start painting again.
"Hello, Good Morning. I'm currently making the artwork that you ordered, and it'll be done by tomorrow." She said while looking at the blank canvas. "Okay, I'll be in touch, bye!" She added.
She grabbed her paintbrush and started to put on different kinds of colorful paint on the canvas.
"Should I add a little more color?" She asked herself. "Okay, let's do it." She added as she started to visualize the painting that she would be creating.
A whole day had passed and Eirah was sitting in the corner exhausted, looking at the artwork she had created for a very short time.
Her stomach growled as she was lying down on her back. "I need to eat something." She said as she tried to stand up. She walked towards her refrigerator and opened it, revealing a spoiled takeout and bread. "It is hard to live alone as a broke artist." She sighed as she closed the fridge.
