Infectious Kiss

I never knew life could be so dark and dismal, It has been for me at least ever since the outbreak started. I feel so alone in the world, nothing seems to be how it once was. I walk outside to see the world that was once whole and feel a deep, unsettling, aura to the air. *loud thud* What was that? Oh my, someone just fainted I hope they're ok. "Excuse' me sir are you alright?" I'm going to get the nurse of the shelter, I'm sure she'll know what to do. "Carrie?" "Yes Meadow?, is everything alright?" "Someone is outside the shelter gates, they just collapsed and are unresponsive!" "I'll get Dean to bring them in, I would say it's most likely to do with dehydration in this heat." "Ok, I hope they're alright. It's not usual that we have living visitors." *Dean brings unconscious man into the village clinic* "I'll get some fluids' started for him, his blood pressure is low and pulse." I waited outside for a bit to make sure the man was ok. He looked so drained, If he hadn't fainted right in front of me I probably would have mistaken him for a zombie. "Meadow? The guy is awake finally and he's alright now but still a bit malnourished, care to fix him a meal?" "Sure no problem!, I'll get right to it." My my, that poor man must have not been able to find any food or water. I'm glad he made it, if he hadn't gotten to the shelter before he collapsed he could have died. I'm going to use my rations for this meal so he will get to feeling better soon. After cooking some steak over the grill and making a nice fresh salad, I headed back to the shelter to give the man his meal. "Hello sir!" "Hi, are you the woman that saved me?" "I wouldn't say that I saved you, but I think I'm who you're talking about. I saw you faint and made sure to get you help." "You did save me, If I was out much longer the nurse said I may have not made it. I am so grateful for you rescuing me, how would I repay you?' "No no, that isn't necessary but thank you it was no problem! I made you this food to help out as well, I hope you like it." "You are so kind, I appreciate all of this so much. I will think of a way to repay you for all of this." "You wouldn't have to do that! But thank you so much." "What is your name? I'm Ambrose." "It's nice to meet you, My name's Meadow Lynn." "That's a pretty name I've never met anyone with it, it's very unique." "Thank you! Please enjoy your meal and get well soon. I'm off to slay some zombies, I'm sad to say that it's became a hobby of mine." "I will it smells delicious! Have a nice day, It was nice to meet you."
