chapter 2

725 Words
Jason grabbed my father very abruptly, causing him to let go of my wrist. The next moment my brother slammed him against the wall and put his hand on his throat. He hissed, "You certainly won't send your daughter to that beast. You're a pathetic Alpha if you don't manage to resolve this matter normally." He had found a good argument that no one could destroy. I turned to them both. This sudden reaction from Jason had revived me, which is why the shock faded into the background. Then I heard Lilia, my inner wolf, in my head: "Layla, kill this man. If he sends us to Alpha Blackmoon, we will never be able to find or be with our mate." I jumped in shock because I was too close to reality. I had completely forgotten about my she-wolf. Lilia snapped at me: "Layla! Our mate! There is a need for action!" Oh, Mate. I hadn't thought that far because all the new information was too much. But she was right, we could never have the perfect man by our side. This deprives us of the possibility of eternal happiness with our soul mate. At that thought I gave a growl and replied, "Let me handle it." She shouted, frantically: "Kill this man!" The problem with wolves was that the mate came first. She really would like to kill my father. Thanks to the conversation with her, I didn't hear the argument between my father and Jason. There was just a scuffle that was barely visible to my eye. Both of them were acting at werewolf speed, making it impossible for me to follow this fight. I automatically took a step back, only hearing when someone landed a hit. Lilia yelled at me, "Get your ass and do something!" Before I could react, Jason landed on his back on the ground. Our father stood over him with a smug smile. Unfortunately, he was stronger until Jason took over as Alpha. Both of them looked worn out from the fight and our father growled deeply at him. When he pulled out his wolf teeth, I could no longer be held back. It was practically suicide, but I would help my brother no matter if it killed me. I was about to storm off when my mom's voice boomed through the room: "What's going on here?!" Considering how loudly we had been arguing, she was pretty late. That must have been heard practically throughout the house. It was a miracle that my two sisters were absent. They were extremely curious and wanted to know practically everything. She continued, "Elliot, please let go of Jason. What's wrong with you?" That was very daring. Our father couldn't hurt her physically because they were mates. But yes, otherwise he could do whatever he wanted. A miracle in the world happened because he let go of my brother. He smoothed his shirt and then walked over to his desk. The man acted as if nothing had happened. I rushed to my brother and knelt next to him. Meanwhile, he sat up and looked very angry. A gash could be seen on his forehead, which had already begun to heal. At least he didn't seem to have suffered any serious injury. Our mom asked a little more calmly this time: "What happened?" Jason replied snidely, "Ask your mate that." I looked at him worriedly, wanting to start a medical examination. Only the look on his face told me that I had better stay still. Our father said coldly: "Marbella, it's none of your business." Goddess, could he just say that one sentence? This madness was enough for me, so I got up. My brother was coping and I desperately needed some fresh air. I looked at my father and said decisively: "I will not leave under any circumstances." With these words, I turned around and went to the door. I got the unimpressed answer: "You'll leave, otherwise countless people and werewolves will die. b***h, you don't have a choice anymore! Unless you're a cold b***h who wants to see my entire territory destroyed!" I ran past my mum and she asked in horror: "Please what?" I heard Jason shout, frantic: "You're a miserable existence if you sell Layla! I'll make every single day of the rest of your life a living hell!"
