The next day was a holiday so l decided to stay home while mum was doing the house chores.Then suddenly my phone rang
"Hello Tinah,What's up?"
"Kelly,good afternoon. l just wanted to inform you that Marcus is housing a party at his place and l was wondering if you would come with me"
"Am so sorry,Tinah l cant come with you because my mum wont let me"
"Kelly,l can come over and speak to her"
"Ok,you try your luck but am not so sure.
"Ok,bye .Catch up later"
Tinah hanged up and shortly after about a few hours she came home.
"Kelly,can you get that please it's at the door"Mum told me from the kitchen.
l went to the door and it was Tinah.
"Welcome"l then turned to my mum and told her that it was my friend called Tinah.
"Mum this is Tinah "
" Tinah this is my mum"
"Hi Emily "Tinah said.
"Tinah ,how did you know my mum is Emily .l have never told you that?"
"Ahm,you told me but maybe you forgot".She said while stuttering.
Whereas mum gave Tinah that look of why are you so clumsy.
But then l didnt give it much attention and then mum served her with tea and some bread and then she started telling my mum about the party ,suddenly my mum told me " can l speak with your friend in private?"
They then walked to the dining section and left me watching the television.
"Why are you always clumsy?"Mum washed Tinah.
"Am so sorry it's just a tongue slip"
"Its ok but dont be so careless next time"
"About the party l want her to go to?"
"Only if you guarantee me that she will e fine because you are so careless and remember if anything happens to her then that's the end of our lives and all the kingdom she is our only hope".
Mum and Tinah conservation took long to the extent l thought wht are they clearly talking about.
Then mum said "it's ok you can go for the party and even sleep over at Tinahs place but be careful both of you".
Ever since l started school ,mum had never given me this kind of liberty.
"let's go get dressed"Tinah said
We then left and headed to the party
