Chapter 13

852 Words
Josephine woke up, confused. 'What the hell was that dream about?' However, the girl couldn't deny that something about the man was comforting, she felt next to him the same way she feels next to Ling. The dream had her asking herself lots of questions. What confused her the most was how beautiful and clear the sky looked like and the forest. Josie never seen forest so beautiful and so wild. The girl shook her head to get rid of her thoughts. She had to get the grip. It was just a dream nothing serious. However, is anything not serious in the world she's just learning about? Two days passed since that day when Ling told her about the mark. Today was her second lesson with Anna. She had to ask the woman about something but she had a feeling not to disclose her relationship yet. It felt like Josie had to protect Ling from something.  *** ''Today we will focus on history of the all kind. Humans call it myths, legends but for us is a history. You better listen closely because the rest of our lessons will depend on this. If you listen and learn you will become powerful if you won't your powers will be limited. Don't interrupt me and don't ask questions until after I finish. Back when the world was just developed, there was a woman named Rhiannon. Her name is Welsh means divine queen and she was divine. She was intelligent, politically strategic, beautiful, and famed for her wealth and generosity and she was a witch. Rhiannon had two sons, one of which was abducted. No one knows to this day what happened to him. There's a rumor, we witches claim as true, that thanks to her, wolfs, vampires and other such creatures exist. However, the creatures rebelled against her and started a war with Rihannon's children. The war never really finished, to this day we have cold feelings towards each other. Werewolves claim that they were created by mood goodness. Vampires claim that someone created them for a revenge, none of them want to admit that we are telling the truth, but we know we are right.'' Anna finished her monologue and Josephine looked at her confused.  ''That's it?'' The girl asked.  ''Yes that's it. The story is an old one, even us witches are not sure how it looked at the time, no one ever wrote the history down until the fiftieth century. Besides we were too busy hiding, the more popular Christianity became it was the bigger threat to us. Now we should continue where we left on last week.'' Josephine knew Anna wasn't telling her the whole truth but she didn't want to question it. Now was the time to focus on her lessons.  *** Hei was reading the letter from his mother. He seriously wondered why this woman even bothered. He wasn't a child for almost two hundred years now, he didn't need a reminder to wear warm clothes in the evening and too be careful to hide his wolf. Dear God he sometimes hated not being born a human. Everything would be simpler. 'Yeah but you would never meet Josephine' his wolf said. Hei had to admit his wolf was right, Josephine would slip from his fingers if he was a human.  Right now Hei had to make preparations to mating ceremony that was supposed to take place at the end of next week.  He himself was surprised that Josie wanted it to happen so quickly and how well she took it. He thought she will be reluctant to mark and she will reject him. 'She didn't grow up as a witch dude.' He's wolf had to remind him. 'Right I know but I'm still nervous that when she learns the whole history she will hate us.' 'She won't Josephine is not like the rest of them. You know her well enough now and if she doesn't mind us being wolf's she won't mind anything else.' 'I doubt it, after all we helped her father die.' Then the regret hit Hei. He had to tell her that too, but how he will do it? That's what scared him the most. *** Drew walked past giggling girls. 'Oh how I hate some of them.' He thought to himself. He liked women and liked the attention he was getting but sometimes it was too much. Today for example he was not in the mood. With thoughts like that Drew went inside library. He had few books to give back and needed new one because of the stupid french essay.  Picking the book he had a feeling something bad was about to happen but he had no idea how and when, ignoring the feeling he left the library after borrowing the book. When he sat down on his bed in his dorm room the headache came. After that the vision came too.  *** Josephine never felt so terrible, the headache was stronger than she ever had. Then the vision came. Anna rushed to her side when the girl felt to the ground.
