Chapter 12

Hei wasn't surprised how good and calming it felt to have wind run through his fur. How the paws connected with the soil and it made his wolf feel better and one with nature. All sorts of sounds were going through his ears; birds singing,  some children laughing in distance few miles away, cars driving on a motorway also miles away. He felt at peace the most when he was in his second skin. There were no worries and no troubles. Just one thing on his mind. Hei needed to mark his mate but how was he supposed to do it? She knew he was a wolf and that Josephine was his mate but how he will explain to her that he will have to bite her in order for her to fully become his?

The older couple was sitting on a bench in front of their house. They were looking at the trees dancing in the wind. A breeze so delicate running through the trees so small, yet if you listened closely you could almost hear it whisper. 

''Do you think she knows?'' Asked the older woman after, what felt like hours, of silence. 

''Doubt it. She just recently found out about her powers. However, as far as I am concerned she is a talented witch. Already mastered few lessons that take witches weeks and she only had one lesson so far.''

''He would be proud of her.'' The woman's eyes filled with tears at the though of her late son. 

''Darling don't cry. He is proud of her. It will do you no good if you think of him in past time. Edward will always will be with her. Every step on her way. He is there. Part of him will always live in her. There's no doubt. Josephine might look like her mother but she is Edward. From her personality to her behavior.''

''How do you know that? Last time we saw her was when she was five. Too young to develop personality traits.''

''You forgot I have spies darling.'' He smiled at his wife. The older man knew that soon the time will come when they have to make themselves known to her and her world.

Josephine woke up tired. She could feel the energy and magic flowing through her the whole night. She was tired but happy and her happiness grew even more after seeing few text massages from Ling. 

''Good morning beautiful mate how did you sleep?''

''Also is it possible to meet after lessons I have something important to tell you.'' 

She answered ''Hi yeah of course is it serious?''

''Don't worry about that. :)''

He replayed automatically. Josephine took a deep breath. 'Okay if it's not serious then I don't have to worry.'

''Meet me in front of the school's parking at 8pm.'' Another massage from him said. 'School parking....okay' Josephine found that to be a strange place to meet but she will question him later for now she had lessons and breakfast to attend. 

The girl hopped to see Ling during breakfast but he didn't show up. He wasn't even present during lessons. Not strange for him at all but she worried about him. So when a time came she went to meet him in a place he asked to see him. 

There he was standing in all his glory. Dressed in all black. Looking at her. Ling smiled softly at her. He was happy to see her and relief waved through out his body. 'She came' his wolf said in delight. However, the man was nervous of telling her about mate mark and how it was supposed to happen.  

''Hi you wanted to talk?'' she asked. He didn't said anything other than kissing her all of sudden. Josephine was surprised but happy and kissed him back. Kissing him felt good for her. 

After a while, when both of them were gasping for breath, Hei or as Josephine knew him, Ling said. 

''Follow me to my car we will talk there.''

Hei knew that any unwanted ears can hear every word so his car was the safest place for this kind off conversation. 

When both of them sat down inside the black vehicle, he started talking. 

''There's one thing I didn't tell you about mates.''

''Which is?''

''The mark.''

''Mark?'' Josephine asked. The surprised clear in her delicate voice. 

''Yes I will need to mark you to ensure that no other wolf or human or any other creature will touch you. The mark is going to transform part of my smell on you letting them know you are mine. Of course you can say no.'' He added quickly. 

Josephine sat thinking for a while. 

''How does one marks the other?'' She asked after a moment of silence. 'Good she wants to continue the conversation.' He thought to himself. 

''Well we will have to have s*x and during the c****x I will bite you.''

He quickly said. Josephine's eyes got big as she saw something strange. 

''O o okay.'' She said still processing what he said. 

''I know you told me about you being a virgin and staff like that and I respect that. It can take as long as you want. You can say no....''

''I want that.'' She said and it stopped his rant.

''What?'' now he was the one surprised. 

''I mean it's a part of us being mates and if I want to be a part your world I think it would be good if you marked me. Besides...I already in too deep in my feelings for you there's no turning back now.'' She confessed.

''If it makes you feel better I am also in too deep with my feelings for you.''

They both smiled at each other and Hei's wolf was screaming in delight.

Few thousand years ago

The woman knew meeting his was dangerous. The man knew seeing her was dangerous. Their forbidden relationship was not supposed to ever happen. They worlds were different ones. 

When he saw her he smiled and she did the same. There she was standing in a white dress, her ginger hair falling behind her, the wind running through them. 

''You came.'' He said

''You did too. Nobody followed you?'' 

''No what about you?''

''No. Listen  Yù Huáng there's something I need to tell you.'' She said suddenly nervous. 'She is never nervous around me.' He thought.

''What is it my darling? Are you hurt?'' The worry was evident in his voice. 

''Well you can say so. However, there is no medicine for my condition.''

''What is it?''

''I'm pregnant.''
