Ling drove them away from the small town of Moonbey. Josephine was curious as to where they were going. After a fifteen minute ride, he started driving on a wild road. Then the dark trees surrounded them and the road. The girl had a feeling that she saw the same exact road, somewhere but, she couldn't point where. After a small while they stopped in front of a small lake. There were solar lights around, blanket on a bridge in the center of a lake and on top of that a basket, probably filled with food.
''I thought we could have a small night picnic.'' said Ling nervously. Josephine smiled slightly at him.
''I love this idea.'' She said. Ling left the car and Josephine followed after him.
''I wanted to open the door for you.'' He said.
''Well I can do it myself I already know you are a gentleman no need to poof yourself anymore.'' She said and followed him to the bridge. They sat down on a blanket and Ling gave her another one.
''Why for?'' she asked surprised.
''It's for you to cover your bottom part, what I mean is you have a short dress and I doubt you want me to see your underwear so I took one more blanket, just in case so you could cover your legs.'' He said awkwardly. It melted Josephine from the inside and she send him another smile.
''Thank you so much I appreciate it.'' she said and took the blanket from him. 'Our mate appreciate us.'' his wolf whispered.

The whole date they laughed and told each other stories of their childhood's and dreams and hopes. Then Ling asked.
''Do you want to go for a swim?''
''Nope I'm good. I don't want to catch a cold besides, I am not a great swimmer. You can feel free to swim though.'' She said expecting him to force her to swim.
''Alright but don't watch me I get shy quickly.'' He said and she laughed.
When Ling started to take his cloths off she didn't look. Maybe it was a wise decision because she missed the dragon tattoo on his leg.
Josephine could see him muscles even in the dark and she had to admit to herself that with each passing second she was falling for him, deeper and deeper. Josie could feel herself being swallowed by the simple emotion called love.
Ling stayed in water for a while and when he was leaving the lake she took her eyes from him. She wanted to take a small peak but something inside her, forced her to not look. Ling dressed himself again, his cloths sticking to his wet body and Josephine couldn't take eyes off him abs that she could see thanks to his shirt being wet. His black hair were falling on his face and a small drips of water were falling from them onto his lips. Josephine had the urge to kiss him and when he gave her his hand for her to take it, when she was standing still, in front of him so close that you could not put a piece of paper between them, she did just that. Josephine kissed him and it was like a fireworks exploded inside of both of them. The love that was slowly building inside of them. The passion and desire it was consuming both of them. The kiss was slow and passionate. None of them wanting to stop. After what felt like hours, they stopped and looked each other in the eyes. His eyes, black as a coal and her greenish eyes meeting each other. They didn't feel awkward with each other. It was like they were meant to be in this place and in this time. It belonged to them. They love and their future belonged to them.
His wolf wanted to mark her but he knew that he had to take it slow. However, the kiss was a sign that maybe being marked by him was just a matter of small fraction of time. He just felt it in his bones.
Josephine never felt so complete. She knew that with this kiss her life changed and will change. The girl felt as if her life just began. She was right, Josephine was reborn because it was a kiss that took her shy, human form and replaced it with her real self. The witch. It was just a simple kiss that was enough to break her father's spell.
That's how all fairy tales are made of. A kiss. It is a kiss that will always free one from a spell but in this moment the kiss not only freed her but also started a new road. None of them knew that yet.

The road back was quiet. The only thing you could hear were songs played on the radio but, this silence wasn't making them uncomfortable.
The silence followed them even after they reached the entrance to the female dormitory.
''I had fun.'' Josephine said awkwardly.
''I'm glad to know that. Would you like to repeat it some time soon?'' He asked hope evident in his voice.
''Would love that. Thank you once again.''
''No problem. You won't mind kissing you again?''
''No not at all.''
She said and he pulled her towards him and kissed her again. After they stopped Josephine smiled and went inside the building, Hei waiting long enough to hear her opening her room door's. Then he disappeared into the darkness.

Josephine turned the lights on in her room, to find her pj's so she could shower and almost passed from a heart attack when she saw Drew sitting on her bed.
''The hell you doing here?''
''Waiting for you. I saw you leaving with that guy.''
''God that's your problem?''
''I have something to tell you so you better showers quickly and come back.''
''Okay okay boss.'' she said sarcastically and took her underwear and pj's.
''Don't touch anything'' she said to Drew before leaving her room.
It took her less than ten minutes to shower and when she came back to the room, Drew was looking outside the window.
''Do you know who is the guy you went on a date today?''
''Ling yeah I know him.''
''Do you know who he his?''
''If you have a problem with him being Chinese then you can leave I don't like racists.''
''I don't mean his race, you can date an alien for all I care I just don't want you to date a werewolf.'' Drew snapped.
''Werewolf? What do you mean?''
''His a wolf, I can recognize one. Our species don't interact with each other, besides his ass will leave you once he finds his mate. You will be left heartbroken and alone.''
''Drew.''
''Yes?''
''Can you leave now? I need to think.'' She said and her voice empty. Drew granted her wish and teleport himself outside. Through the window she could see his figure becoming one with the night.
Josephine was lying down on her bed. 'Werewolf? Mate?'' she knew she had to speak to Ling as soon as possible. The girl send him a small massage. ''Meet me tomorrow at midday, in the park behind the school.'' ''Okay beautiful can't wait to see you.'' He replayed and that was enough for her. Not knowing when she fell asleep stuck inside her thoughts.
***
Ling was already waiting for her. He was sitting on one of the benches in the park. Josephine slowly approached him. When he saw her, he smiled and she smiled faintly back at him. His eyes were filled with worry. ''Did something happen?'' he asked, when she sat down next to him. Getting brave, she asked quietly.
''Are you a werewolf? ''
The shock she saw in his eyes told her that Drew was right.
''Who told you that?'' He asked. Ling's voice more quiet than a wind.
''My cousin.''
''Then you know that I know you are a witch?''
Josephine nodded her head. ''He also told me about mates. That you will find one, one day and you will leave me so I don't know if we can still continue whatever that is between us.'' She said and her voice cracked.
''Well I won't find my mate because I already did.' 'He said.
''Who it is?'' she asked and she could feel her heart breaking.
''You are.'' Ling said and Josephine couldn't believe her ears.
''Really?''
''Yes. Thank Goodness you found out that because I had no idea how to tell you this.'' Ling said with a small smile. Josephine laughed.
''I thought witches and werewolves hate each other?''
''They do but since I am your mate and you are mine then I guess we will have to overcome that.'' Ling laughed.
Now that the secret was out Hei knew his and her life were about to change.
So did the person watching them.
The headmaster of the school stood not far away from them and watched them interact. She knew that her Lord will be pleased with what she heard and saw. Diya left the two lovers alone and quickly dialed one number she knew too well. When the person from the other side picked up she said ''Master I have news about your granddaughter.''
