Chapter 1: Wedding Night Divorce
The diamond necklace felt like a shackle around Raima's neck.
Standing in the presidential suite of the Royal Grand Hotel, she stared at her reflection. The expensive white wedding gown couldn't hide the fear in her eyes. Tonight, she was being sold to Arrogant CEO Aryan Malhotra.
"Sign the papers, Raima." Her father's voice was cold. "The company will go bankrupt if you don't marry him tonight."
"I... I don't even know him," Raima whispered.
"You don't need to know him. You just need to obey him." Her father slammed the contract on the table. "Aryan is paying 50 crores for you. Enough to save our family."
Tears rolled down her cheeks. She was only 22. She had dreams. But dreams don't pay debts.
---
The door burst open.
Aryan Malhotra stood there like a god of destruction. 6'2", sharp jawline, eyes colder than ice. His black suit screamed power and money. But his face screamed hatred.
"So this is the bride my grandfather chose for me?" His voice was pure venom. He walked around Raima like she was an animal at auction. "Pathetic."
Raima's heart stopped. This was her husband?
Aryan threw a stack of papers at her face. "Sign these."
"What... what is this?" Raima picked up the papers with shaking hands.
"Divorce Agreement." He smirked. "Did you really think I would touch a poor, greedy woman like you? I married you only because my grandfather forced me. Now sign it."
The words hit Raima like bullets. Wedding night... and divorce papers?
"I... I won't sign," Raima's voice trembled but her eyes were fierce.
Aryan's eyes darkened. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him. "Listen carefully, little gold-digger. You will sign this paper. You will stay in this marriage for name only. And you will never, ever share my bed. Understood?"
"Why did you marry me then?" Raima spat out.
"Because my grandfather threatened to give his entire empire to charity if I didn't marry his chosen girl." Aryan released her chin and wiped his hand on his suit like she was dirty. "You're nothing but a debt my family owes. A transaction."
Raima's world shattered. She was sold. Not married. Sold like property.
"Get out of my sight," Aryan growled. "The bedroom is mine. You sleep on the floor. Or better, leave this hotel right now."
That night, Raima didn't sleep on the floor.
She left.
With nothing but the clothes on her back and the divorce papers clutched in her hand, Raima walked out of the Royal Grand Hotel.
Into the rain. Into the unknown.
She swore one thing: If Aryan Malhotra thought she was a poor, helpless girl... he was wrong.
She would return. And when she did, it would be Arrogant CEO Aryan who would beg.
---
Six Months Later...
The entire business world was talking about one name.
Ms. R. The mysterious new CEO who bought three bankrupt companies in one month and turned them into gold mines. No one knew her face. No one knew her past. They only knew she was ruthless, brilliant, and untouchable.
In his office on the 50th floor, Aryan Malhotra threw a file across the room.
"Who is this Ms. R?" he roared at his assistant. "She just stole the Sinha deal from under my nose! Find everything about her!"
"Sir... we tried. Her identity is completely hidden. But..." The assistant hesitated. "She's attending the Grand Business Gala tonight. Everyone will be there."
Aryan's lips curled into a dangerous smile. "Perfect. Tonight, I meet the woman who dared to challenge me."
He didn't know that the woman he was hunting... was the wife he threw away on their wedding night.
That night, at the Gala, Aryan waited at the top of the grand staircase.
Then she appeared.
Wearing a blood-red designer gown, diamonds glittering at her throat, confidence radiating from every step. Her face was partially hidden by a delicate mask, but her eyes... her eyes were unforgettable.
Fierce. Cold. Powerful.
The entire hall went silent.
Aryan couldn't breathe. Who was this goddess?
She walked straight towards him, her heels clicking like a countdown. She stopped just inches away.
Then she smiled. A smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Mr. Malhotra," her voice was like honey laced with poison. "It's been a while."
Aryan frowned. "Do I know you?"
She slowly lifted her hand and removed the mask.
Aryan's blood ran cold.
"Raima?" His voice was barely a whisper. "You're... you're Ms. R?"
The woman who stood before him was not the broken girl he married. This was a queen.
"Surprised?" Raima tilted her head. "You shouldn't be. After all, you taught me a very important lesson on our wedding night."
"What lesson?" Aryan's mind was reeling.
She leaned close, her red lips inches from his ear.
"That only power matters in this world. And now..." She pulled back, her eyes glittering with revenge. "I have it all."
She turned to leave, but Aryan grabbed her wrist.
"You're still my wife," he growled. "Those divorce papers were never filed."
Raima looked at his hand on her wrist like it was a disease.
"Then file them now, Mr. Malhotra." She yanked her hand away. "Because the poor, greedy woman you threw away... just became your biggest nightmare."
And with that, she walked away, leaving Arrogant CEO Aryan Malhotra standing there... shocked, furious, and for the first time in his life...
Afraid.
