The three women agreed Kathy should be the one to tell her grandmother, and Morgan said goodbye. She knew she had to follow Mr. Hornberry’s advice and reread Morgan Hornberry’s journal one more time. She absentmindedly waved goodbye to the children as she left, not noticing the looks they exchanged. Teresa followed Morgan out and took Winnie"s place working in the garden, sending Winnie back to talk to Kathy.
