Emma's Pov
For the first time, I am awakened by soft kisses on my bare shoulder. Morning light floods the room through the window. It creates an environment with golden, gentle tones. The smell of fresh coffee mixed with the scent of the sun warming the room wakes me up a bit more, in a sweeter and more comforting way than I am used to.
I turn my body and stretch sleepily, noticing Matthew's presence sitting on the edge of the bed with two cups of coffee in his hands. He is already dressed in the same clothes as last night, while I welcome him in bed without any change of clothes, the first rays of the sun caressing my exposed skin.
"Good morning, Emma," Matthew declares in a soft and low voice, his dark green eyes shining. Matthew gives me a quick, delightful kiss on my lips.
