Chapter 9 : Aftermath

511 Words
Salin Oh stop grumbling, you wrecked the forest. By the rules, I should keep you in isolation for 3 days. The fact that I only grounded you is literally as lenient as I can be right now. Hmph. Let me emphasise. YOU. WIPED. AN. ENTIRE. SPECIES. FROM. THEIR. HOME. TURF. That is only allowed on 'harmful' ones, such as high ranked goblins, orcs, and any other thing that puts rabbits to shame on how fast they pop up. Those spiders were nowhere near powerful enough or close enough to any form of civilisation to do any damage. Fine, I get it old man. I sure f*cking hope so. Oh, sorry. Didn't realise you're back. What? 'What I'm gonna do with my magic sealed for the rest of the day?' Well you see, he sealed my Dark Magic skill. I can still use mana. So now, I'm just going to practice the rest of the magic tree. Learned your lesson, my ass. Please, you know I wouldn't be able to stay still for an ENTIRE day when I'm like this. Though I promise I won't do anything destructive outside of magic practice. Hope you actually follow through with that and not just go 'YEET' with a fireball. How the hell do you even know about that word? Sometimes the gods here, in particular the God of Craftsmanship, bring objects that are not available here back from your world. One of them was a computer with, somehow, a working connection to your internet. You have not experienced pain until you have been in the company of immortals saying memes to each other for 10 years, continuously. I don't even want to think about that sh*t. Anyway, how do you use the rest of the magic tree? Basically the same thing like your dark magic, though with a few extra steps. Alright, lay it on me. Alright, you first gather enough mana to actually cast the spell, we'll start with Fire Magic, so just gather about 50 MP first. Alright, easy enough. Don't jinx it. Of course, I managed to gather it without going BOOM. Now you need to convert it into Fire. What? Ah right, you don't know. The way elemental magic works goes a little bit like this. First, you gather the mana, then you convert the mana into the element you want to use and the shape you want. After that, you just need to make sure the spell hits the target. Ohhhh. Easy enough, there's now a clump of fire in my hand. Alright, now just imagine the staple of Fire Magic, 'Fireball'. Okay. And I did it. Good, now just throw it at that boulder over there. *BOOM* Andddd, the boulder disintegrated. I TOLD YOU, ONLY 50 MP! I did use 50 MP! THEN WHY DI- Oh sh*t. I forgot. What? Dragons, especially high tiers, have a much more powerful mana than other species. So 50 MP to you is the equivalent of around 200 MP for a standard mortal race Fireball. Seriously? For once, I hate being correct.
