My heart sinks for my little brother. James sighs and closes his eyes
"Maybe I should make it a priority to go home once a week to do homework with him like I normally do. If only he would be happy to have a sleepover he could stay as long as he wants. Maybe I'll ask him Tomorrow even if it means I sleep beside him. I don't want him to be upset because of me"
"That sounds like a really good idea, we will ask him tomorrow"
I smile and nod at Xavier then look back at James. He still seems upset but I drop it for now. We eat quietly and decide to watch a movie but James decides he's to tired so me Xavier and Brian decide to watch it in our room when we arrive I sit on the bed thinking
"What's up jam?"
I frown at Brian
"Jam?"
"Yeah jam. You're the jam to Xavier's toast. I think it's quite smart if I do say so myself"
"I love it"
I growl at Xavier who laughs at me and plops down on the bed beside me.
"If I'm jam what does that make you?"
They both stare off into space when I figure it out and start chuckling.
"He's the mouth! Suits him quite well considering he never shuts it"
I laugh at myself and snort like a pig as Xavier laughs with me.
"I am not a mouth"
Brian says completely offended, making me laugh harder. He starts to tickle me and I scream. Xavier joins in and I jump around the bed like a lunatic
"I'm going to pee myself stop ahhhh hahahaha"
I manage to jump out of their hold and I run for the door with them hot on my tail. I giggle and snort like a complete pig and run for the kitchen. I grab the egg basket and hunker down behind the island
When I heard them run in, I stood up and attacked. I batter them with eggs and scream as they chase me around the house. I ran into James's room. He jumps in surprise as I jump behind his bed. When the boys come in I start throwing eggs at them again, lola and james help me but when we run out I realise I'm cornered
"Nowhere to run now jam"
Brian said with a grin as Xavier watched me like I was prey. I giggled and hightailed it into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and when they both came in I sprayed them with the hose.
"I am going to sleep in another room I'm not getting involved in all this"
"Chicken"
I shout out at lola who giggles and leaves me alone with the boys who are head to toe in eggs
"I'm a pretty good shot"
They run at me and I spray them with the hose as I giggle and we are in a tangle of limbs and legs soaking wet. Brian manages to grab me and pushes me against the tile wall pinning me to the spot
"Get her Toasty"
Xavier sprayed the hose all over me soaking my gym clothes so they were sticking to me. Brain tickles me as he does it and after a few minutes I just give in giggling away like a schoolgirl.
"I give up I give up"
They both laugh and let me down. I stand against the wall and catch my breath. I giggled again when I realised they were both head to toe in eggs. I reached for the shampoo and squirted some on both their hairs and used one hand on each of their heads and scrubbed the eggs out of their hair.
I washed them off and washed my own hair.
"Here babe"
Xavier pulled me toward him and pulled my top of and I froze
"Chill you have a bra on. Not going to see anything important and not going to do anything your not comfortable with but your covered in egg"
Brian said and I shrugged and pulled my bottoms off leaving my pants on, Brian was here so nothing bad would happen, they both strip to their boxers and Xavier turns on the other shower head so we all can stand comfortably under it.
I giggle when Brian washes my hair and conditions it. When he's done I wash my body quickly and get out, wrapping myself in a towel and lifting all the dirty laundry.
I carry it to our bathroom in my room and dump it in the laundry basket and stripped off my underwear and dried myself down.
When I walk back into the room Xavier throws me one of his shirts. It's like a dress on me but it was comfortable. I threw on panties and climbed into the middle of the bed and texted my family on the groupchat to tell them the Luna ceremony is tomorrow at 8pm and to come anytime but it was a casual affair.
My phone instantly blew up. All of them except the boys were pissed that they were not given more warning. I giggled and put my phone on silent as Xavier handed me the remote and sat beside me.
"Where did Mouth go?"
"To clean up the egg before luc sees it. Last time we had a food fight she hit us with a frying pan"
I snort and giggle
"She hit the alpha with a frying pan? Hahahaha"
"Like I said, I'm laid back about that stuff. Well with the people I know, like Lucy basically raised both of us so she's not afraid to be real around us. In this world it's nice to have a few people who don't mind scolding you or hitting you with a pan or an egg. It's refreshing"
I nodded, he was right, it was refreshing. I really did like this place. I think even more than my own pack it had a family feel to it and I was starting to relax around Xavier a little too. I don't think he would hurt me again.
"Don't get me wrong I adore all my family members but this place feels different like we are all equal in a way. Like at home we are all treated differently because of who we are. There's respect and then there's fakeness and I won't miss that.
Like my friends Mitchel and Aaron, although they were boys they never and I mean never treated me differently, that's why I am so fond of them. but here even though everyone has respect for each other they don't look at us like we are kings or queens. Not that if my sister hears anyone call her queen tomorrow she will go nuts"
"So you think you'll be happy here? Even if your brother doesn't stay?"
I think about it.
"Honestly I already am happy here it feels right. If my brother doesn't stay I'll be ok. You and Brian are all I need as long as you don't hurt me and I think we can get to a place of true happiness. It would be nice for my brother to stay but soon he will have his own house with lo and start a family like they have always wanted and right now all I want is to find some happiness. Egg fights included"
Brian walks in and plops down beside me, like Xavier he is wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants.
"I have to admit since taking over the pack everything has been so serious and I sometimes forget I'm only 19, you have helped remind us both of what life should be like. Fun and filled with laughter. you have changed both of our lives"
My face heats a little at xaviers words. Brain chuckles and elbows me in the ribs
"Don't be embarrassed by that, he's right. Love you jam"
I roll my eyes at there new name for me
"I love you too. haha.. so what are we watching?"
"Ohhh can we watch aladdin?"
I crinkle up my nose and look to Xavier for an explanation
"And why the hell would we watch that?"
I say in disbelief of my chicken mate. Mouth snorts and laughs as xaviers face heats
"I just like live action Disney"
"Ugh ok so not scary but I'm not watching Disney! What about Jurassic park? You can't be afraid of that?"
He smiles
"That's even better let's watch that"
I nod and put it on. After 20 minutes xaviers phone rings and his eyebrow shoots up
"It's your mum?"
I groan and take the call
"Hey mu.."
"Don't you hey mom me young lady? you are having a casual Luna ceremony tomorrow and decide to tell me tonight? What the hell! Have you even got everything organised?"
I looked at Xavier who wore a smirk on his face. I put the phone on loudspeaker so he could answer because I honestly didn't know.
"Yes mum everything is arranged. All you need to do is turn up and look pretty"
"Don't you dare try to charm me young man!"
Brian snorts and laughs
"You better not be laughing at me Brian"
"No mam I'm not, just laughing at xaviers face"
"What's with the mam. You all call me mum that was the deal no titles or making me feel old by calling me mam"
"Sorry mum"
They both said at the same time making me giggle.
"Megan, have you even got a dress?"
"Yes mum I got one today and got my hair done. I'm all ready I promise. If you want to do something you and fiona can come do my makeup and hair. You're better at it then I am."
She sighs
"Fine fine fine. I will talk to you all tomorrow. Goodnight"
"Wow she is scary when she wants to be jam"
"I know mouth. That's why I waited until tonight to spill about tomorrow."
"Talking about tomorrow training has been changed to the morning time because of the ceremony, if you want to start training you can come with us"
I smiled at Xavier and nodded
"I'd like that. Now press play it's just about to get good"

Xaviers POV
I have to admit it's been rather refreshing not having Megan hate me, and a lot of fun. It's been a while since I had a food fight and it was nice to just laugh again.
Yes Brian and Megan's relationship is difficult to deal with but it's obvious to me that she would choose him over me so if I play the game right I can come out on top. I can win her and I might not even need to hurt her.
I don't want to hurt her, not unless it's in the bedroom. That's different and life seems a whole lot easier when we are not at war with each other so if I just bid my time we can win her over without a war and possibly without losing my best friend in the process.

Megan's POV
I wake up on Brains chest with my legs wrapped around His body. The alarms were blaring and I groaned, pulling myself from bed to turn them off. I nudge the boys but they don't wake up so I decide to get dressed and try again after. I throw on workout leggings and a sports bra and sneakers. It was hot today so I didn't bother with a top.
I shook the boys but they didn't budge so I decided to grab coffee and talk to Lucy.
"Morning Lucy, how do you normally get those 2 out of bed? They sleep like they are dead"
"Morning Luna. Oh here I have a trick for that."
She fills up 2 jugs with cold water and hands me one.
"Come on"
We climb the stairs and she stops outside Brian's room and looks at me puzzled
"Brian must have woken up?"
"No he's asleep in our room, we fell asleep watching a movie"
"Ahh I see, ok come along"
She marches into our room and points to the other side of the bed
"Ok on 3. 1..2..3"
We pour the water over them and they jump up in bed with a Yelp making me double over in laughter
"Aw no, why luc? so not fair"
Xavier said rubbing his face to waken Himself up
"Come on up now, you both have training and preparations for tonight to handle, so up you get before I grab the wooden spoon"
With that warning they both shoot up out of the bed making me cackle away.
"You laugh now but wait until she does it to you"
Brian huffs
"Do it to Luna? I wouldn't dare she's perfect just the way she is you 2 on the other hand have a lot to learn"
I snort as Lucy pulls me into a side hug and walks me out of the room.
"I love your relationship with them"
I say to her as we make our way back down to the kitchen
"Well both of them were let down big time when it came to their mums so I stood in and decided that somebody had to teach them how to respect women. I always adored xaviers father Zack and benji his beta but when Zack died his wife"
She stops to growl
"Well let's just say she was a f**k up. And not a kind one either. Anyway Brian's mother had died in a car crash around the same time so I was their nanny. Anyway Benji was able to pick himself back up and at least be a good example to both boys but xaviers mother was a lost cause. Then she met Adam and all hell broke loose. He took over as alpha and let benji go as beta. The pack went from 3000 members down to around 1000. People left because he was cruel and didn't care for anyone, not even the kids. Xavier was left to look after the kids but Adam fired me and banned me from the packhouse so I couldn't even help him. He beat that boy so black and blue in public and behind doors I don't know how he survived. Anyway the pack celebrated the day they both died. And at 16 Xavier took on the pack with the help of Brain and benji and within the year the members started to return and now we are at 2000. Xavier doesn't care about the numbers as long as they are all happy and healthy so you see when I see them boys grin because of you my heart swells up with joy. They stopped having a life the day their parents died so to see them have fun and laugh means so much to me just like those boys mean so much to me. The first thing Xavier did when he took over the pack was have benji sent to retrieve me from my sisters to come back home. They are good boys and I like how you don't mind how close they are to you. They will protect you with their lives"
It was a lot of information but I made a decision right there and then that I would always help them have fun and forget about their troubles.
It's no wonder xaviers wolf was f****d up. It didn't give him an excuse to treat me or anyone like that but it makes sense that he's messed in the head. Especially if he came early because of the abuse.
If he came early because of the abuse then he would have pulled Xavier back and protected him giving him the perfect tools to take over and block him out now.
The boys joined us soon both kissing me on the cheek as they passed. We drank coffee and had some breakfast, training didn't start until 9am and it was so strange. Since I was 7 I have been waking up at 5:30 mostly every morning to train for an hour. Of Course I preferred to sleep in when I was allowed to bail but it was so different here and I liked it a lot better.
Lucy sat with us when we ate and I found it endearing. The way she talked to them and scolded them was constant entertainment.
When training was about to start we made our way outside to the gathering spot. I was surprised by the numbers. For such a small pack there were several hundred people here to train.
I stood in between the boys as I looked over the crowd. I noticed one girl in particular throwing me daggers. Brian seemed to notice and his entire demeanour changed and he squeezed his hands shut tightly.
I patted him on the back, he relaxed a little and looked down at me. He looked like he was debating with himself about something but when they girl moved a little closer Brian seemed to make up his mind and leaned down to whisper in my ear
"That is Xavier's ex Ronnie. She is a b***h"
"The b***h from the other night?"
I whispered low enough for only him to hear. We haven't talked about the other night or brought it up to Xavier because I didn't see the point. I don't love him and to be honest I find it difficult to even tolerate him, so him sleeping around didn't bother me but the pain of it did.
He just nodded then I pulled my hair up into a messy bun so my mark was visible and smiled at her. Brian caught what I did and snorted slightly trying to keep Himself from laughing as the trainers talked.
She did not appreciate my actions because she threw me daggers the entire time. I clicked my fingers and Luca was at my side in a second. I clicked my other hand and Joey joined him at my other side. They sat like statues at my feet but she seemed to stumble at the sight of them. I grinned and turned my attention back to the trainer.
As the trainer stopped Ronnie put up her hand
"What is it Ronnie?"
Calab the trainer said. he didn't look too impressed by her interruption.
"I challenge the Luna"
I raised my eyebrow at her as Brian, Xavier, Luca and Joey started to growl at her ferociously. She swallowed the lump in her throat as the trainer approached her.
"Why the hell would you need to do that?"
"Because she is standing where I should be"
I snort and laugh at her.
"Oh please, Ronnie is it?"
I look to Xavier and he nods confirming her name
"Yeah well Ronnie the thing is this was never your place. Your place is right where you are and always will be. Your place is with your mate. Not with mine!"
"I rejected my mate for him"
I froze and looked at Xavier who's jaw was wide open.
"You did what? When the f**k did you do that? Why would you do that?"
"Why? Because we were together. Why would i be with him when I can be with an alpha"
I scoff again
"See right there is the exact reason you should not be Luna because all you care about is titles you disgust me. If you want to challenge me, fine I accept. Is it to death?"
Her eyes widen and she shakes her head
"No"
"So what are the terms? How do we fight? Can we shift? Use EVERYTHING we have to win?"

Was talking about my hell fire. Brian chuckled beside me as Xavier froze.
"If one shifts the other must have time to shift. You can use your own ability to fight until one is either knocked out or taps out"
"Challenge accepted"
I say coldly. Xavier pulls my arm but let's it go when Luca and joey growl and snap at him. Instead he points away from the crowd. I nod and he leads me away from the crowd
"Are you going to kill her?"
"Would it matter if I did?"
I studied his face as he answered. I wanted to know his true feelings for the girl
"Yes but not because of my past. Because she's a pack member"
"So not because she's the one you were f*****g the other night?"
His eyes widened and he looked panicked
