"Just under 2000, we are one of the smallest packs but that's why I enjoy it so much. A lot more personal and I know everyone's name"

I grinned. I loved the sound of that.

"When will the Luna ceremony be? I don't want a big thing. Just a simple party nothing extravagant"

"I was thinking in the next few days? and it can be whatever you want it to be."

"Ok make it tomorrow so at least my siblings won't have time to make it into a big deal and we wait to tell them until tonight. They definitely won't have a chance then"

He laughs at me and grins

"Consider it done. You're not going to make me wear a suit are you?"

I chuckled, he was as bad as me. I smile and shake my head

"Nope as long as you don't expect me to wear a ball gown. Something simple will do me. I might go to town after to get something with Lola. and I don't care who says what, I'm wearing either flip flops or doc martens"

He threw his head back and laughed loudly.

"Deal. You can go to town whenever you want. But you can tell James to stay. He can even move in here if he wants"

My grin must have been huge because he mirrors it.

"Are you really that close with him?"

I raised my eyebrow at his words he was my twin Ofcourse we were close we shared a damn womb

"You have to ask? We were alone until we were 5, neglected by my 'fake' parents"

I use air quotes dramatically at the words fake parents

"That's what we call the people that neglected us. Then Baylee and Caden found us. We are Caden's biological brother and sister. Our bio dad died when Caden was a kid and he and our mother had frozen eggs so when she couldn't get pregnant with her second chance mate she used the embryos and ended up with us but he never knew. Not until She handed us over to Caden and Baylee when they came to visit her and we haven't seen her since. But after my father found out what we were he has been sending people after us for years. I'm not really sure why but Baylee or lola always see it coming so we are mostly prepared. So yes we are extremely close. We are all each other had"

"And here he comes"

He drove up the drive in a large SUV with Lola in the passenger seat. I jumped and clapped my hands as they stopped. I ran to them both and pulled them in for a hug

"We missed you to sis, but someone is dying to see you"

I pull back and he opens the back door of the suv and Luca attacks me with licks, I fall to the ground in a fit of giggles while the other wolves get out and do the same. After a few minutes I manage to get up

"I missed you all too. Welcome home"

They all shake their fur out and look around. Luca stops when he sees Xavier and growls, the others do the same thing and I can't help but smile. I ignore James' worried looks. He knows they are connected to us so if they don't like him there is a reason for it.

"You can all go for a run if you want but don't kill anyone unless it's a rogue. They are your pack now and you must protect them"

They take of together towards the tree line, I look back at Xavier who had a smirk

"Would they really eat them?"

I snorted and nodded

"Yes they prefer to eat people. But only do so when told. If a battle happens they will eat the dead rogues. Can you link your men and everyone else and let them know not to disturb them. They won't bother anyone unless they bother them, and if they bother them I will punish them myself"

He nods and smirks as his eyes glaze over. I pull James and Lola towards the packhouse.

"So have you both missed me? Are you going to stay? We are having the Luna ceremony tomorrow but don't tell anyone until tonight I don't want it to turn into a whole thing. It's going to be simple"

"Yes we are staying, Lola had a vision she knew it was happening. We haven't told anyone but Baylee probably already knows"

"Good you can come shopping with me to find a dress"

"I have work to do, but Lola can go with you as long as you have guards"

I roll my eyes and stop

"Please tell me you're not turning into one of these overprotective types too?"

James laughed and shook his head

"No. Lola had a vision. Jakes men have been sniffing around again so until we catch them and kill them we need to be cautious"

I nod. Our fake father was called Jake and he was an asshole. And has attempted to kill our people before but never had the chance.

As we walked into the kitchen Brian was there and a lot more awake now that he had his coffee. He smiled when he saw me lighting up his entire face. He got up and kissed my cheek then pulled a chair out for me and Lola

"Morning Luna"

He said to me,

"Morning B, I thought I was lazy. Do you sleepwalk around until you get your coffee all the time"

"It's been a long few days give me a break"

"Hey if you both want to go to town I can send guards with you and Lola. They are my best men I promise"

I looked to Lola who grinned at him

"Yes please that means we can have some girl time"

After a few minutes of catching up on everything 2 men walk in, they smile at us and bare their neck at me.

"Megan, this is Steve and Tyler. They are your new guards and drivers. They will take you into town"

"Luna nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you both also. Are we ready to go?"

They both nodded and left the kitchen, Xavier waved at me but Brian kissed my cheek followed by James.

When we got into the car I was surprised to see it was soundproof with a little hatch at the front.

"Luna if you need us just open the latch we won't be able to hear you if you call"

"No problem boys thank you again"

"It's our pleasure"

They close the latch and I turn to a beaming Lola.

"So how have you been since you became a wolf?"

She was beaming, practically glowing

"Good, really good. I'm not as strong as Baylee because she was born but I am strong enough. Stronger than I imagined I would be."

"So where are you going to live? Are you going to move here?"

She sighs

"I don't know. I see us staying here a lot but moving full time is scary. Although it feels scarier to live without you"

"Yeah I know. It's weird. But at least we are only an hour away from each other"

"So what's the deal with you and Brian?"

I furrowed my brows at her

"What do you mean?"

I need to play dumb I don't want it getting out that I'd marry the boy tomorrow if I could.

"Well your very very close"

"He's my friend and xaviers. It's just going to be the 3 of us in that house so we will be close but we are just friends, he makes me feel comfortable and safe"

She snorts at me

"Whatever you say but you don't look at him like he's a friend and he doesn't look at you like you're a friend."

I frowned, it must be more obvious then I thought but I am not going to feel guilty about trusting him, feeling safe with him or anything. He's the only reason I'm still here in my opinion.

Harper

No, Brian and Harden love us and they care about us and that is why we are close to them. They will keep us safe.

I take a sigh of relief and the guilt instantly leaves me, I look back at Lola who's looking at me funny

"We are just friends. Xavier knows and he's ok with it, he knows I'm more comfortable with Brian then I am with him so whatever it is it is. I'm not going to not be close with him just because it looks weird"

She looks sad. I furrowed my brows at her

"Hey what's wrong? Are you ok?"

"I just feel bad for making you question yourself. I didn't mean to do that"

"It's ok lola don't worry. You haven't by any chance seen what I'm going to wear tomorrow have you? Narrow the search down a little?"

She chuckles but she still looks sad and the smile doesn't reach her eyes. I ignore it, whatever it is she will tell me in time.

"All I know is it's green. It was quite dark so I didn't get much details, but green"

I grinned happy I can narrow the search down even just a little. Lola seemed to be deep in thought so I left her to it.

It was hard being a banshee, all the visions constantly? Seeing dead people and dealing with it all. Baylee always said it wasn't that it's hard to be a banshee but it is distracting especially when you see something you don't want to and can't change the future.

Soon we arrived at the mall, the guards followed us everywhere we went and Lola was still quiet. I pulled her into a small shop and started to go through the dresses.

After a while I came across a beautiful green dress, it's a perfect contrast to my gold eyes.I tried it on and grinned as I looked myself over, it was perfect.

A green satin frill skirt wrap around skater dress. The wrap around element clinches my tiny waist to give me that Snatched look as it accentuates my curves, while the plunge neckline complements my bust. It makes my waist look smaller and my curves bigger making me look extremely feminine and beautiful.

I walk out of the changing room and I hear gasps. Both my guards had a huge grin on there face that mirrored lolas

"Amazing. It's perfect. You look perfect"

Lola says getting up and pulling me into a tight hug.

"Yes this is the one, il get changed and we can head back"

She shakes her head

"No, we need to sort out your hair first. Trust me it will be worth it. I've made an appointment at the hairdressers next door for us both"

I grinned and nodded. I have always wanted to cut my hair short but mum never let me. Maybe now is my chance. I change quickly and buy my dress, the guards take my bag and we head next door to the hairdresser. I ended up getting a long Bob with a fringe. I would still be able to throw it up in a messy bun but it wouldn't be as tangled and matted. It framed my face and long neck beautifuly.

By the time we got home I was so excited for Brian to see it. I knocked on the office door and walked in when someone shouted enter.

The room gasped as I walked in and Xavier and Brian's eyes lit up.

"You look beautiful, Like really really beautiful"

I grinned and ran into Brian's arms for a hug then I looked at xavier.

"Your hair looks amazing love, Really suits you"

I pulled out of Brian's hug after he kissed my head and I gave Xavier a quick side hug. I didn't want to make it too obvious that I'd rather run for the hills with Brian.

"Thank you"

He whispered. He kissed my head and I pulled away trying not to cringe. He turned me around and only then did I realise there was a small crowd gathered in the office.

"Megan, this is Brian's father Benji, he was my fathers original beta, this if Fred, he is the head patrol warrior, then Calab is our trainer and his assistant Colten. Guys this is your Luna Megan"

I waved to them all and smiled

"Nice to meet you all. I didn't realise I was interrupting I'll come back when your done"

Toasty grabbed my hand and pulled me back as James walked in and smiled at me.

"Nonsense, your Luna, you stay for this stuff if you want to. We were just talking about rogue attacks that have been happening at your old pack. James seems to think it's jake so we are just adding extra security just to be sure"

I growled at the mention of his name. I hate him. I hate him so damn much.

"Still to chicken to come himself I see"

I fold my arms and look at James he snorts and laughs

"He knows we would kill him like all the others. He won't come himself"

"What about her, is she still alive?"

My parents had people watching our biological mother. They believed that she was a good person because she did what was best for us but all I remember is being terrified in her presence and hungry. A hunger so strong I can't even describe it.

"Don't know, she must be if we haven't heard anything"

"Why don't we send assassins and just kill him off? This will all go away then, especially if they don't know it's us?"

I ask him. Death is the only way out of this and I really couldn't be bothered dealing with this for years to come. Someone sniggering pulled me out of my thoughts as I looked at benji.

"What?"

"You're just better than I expected. But I suppose what else can we expect from the queen's sister. If you want to send an assassin after jake I can arrange that I know the perfect one"

I shrugged and looked at James he shook his head

"Not until we get the go ahead from caden, he will be here tomorrow we can ask him then."

I nodded. I know he was right. If Caden wanted them dead they would be, so there must be some reason he has let them live this long.

"Yeah we will talk with him then. Ok gentlemen I will be on my way I have some work to do"

I wave to the room and leave them to it and head to grab coffee and go to my new office. I spend the next few hours going through my PR packages and organising everything then I get to work taking pictures with different things and uploading different photos that I have edited.

One will upload every day for the next 2 months and then I can add normal pictures in between. When I'm done everything is organised and I go through the packages that I'm going to keep and what I'm going to donate.

When I had everything completed I put all the stuff away and text Brian to help me bring everything else downstairs. Brain comes up and smiles at me

"You have been busy"

"Yeah I have. I'm exhausted, but I've scheduled enough photos for the next 2 months. Have we got an orphanage here?"

He furrows his brows at me

"We do? Why?"

"I usually donate the stuff I don't want to the orphanage. Can you help me bring it to them?"

"Yeah"

He grabbed my hands and pulled me up. We gather the boxes and take them downstairs to the front door. Xavier comes out of his office and smiles.

"We can bring them down now if you want?"

He asks and I smile

"Yes please. I love watching their faces light up"

We gathered everything and put it in the car. There was everything from jewellery, dresses, shorts and outfits, boots and makeup and shoes.

The drive took only a few minutes and I was surprised to see that it was a normal house. 3 women stood out front with large grins. I jumped out of the car and they all bared their neck to me then the woman in the middle stood forward

"Welcome to the Opal orphanage Luna, our teenagers are going to be delighted with all this stuff. We only house the female girls here, the boys are in the house opposite and the house behind me watches over all the younger kids until they are 12 and start the process of being fazed out. It's so kind of you to think of them. When they found out who you were they all showed us your i********: and I have to say I love a young woman who is as inventive and passionate as you. It's not often people take something simple like photos and turn it into a healthy income. I'm very impressed and so are my girls"

I feel my face heat at the attention

"Thank you. Thank you so much. And it's my pleasure I always like to give back. Nobody needs the amount of stuff they send me it's ridiculous"

We bring the boxes in and 5 girls around 12-17 come running in and dive into the boxes full of excitement and joy. I grin as they come up for air and introduce themselves. I giggle as they fight over certain things. A few even take some photos for their own i********:.

"We better be going. We have dinner plans with your brother and sister"

I nod and wave to the girls and we leave. I feel hopeful and happy that I could give the girls a nice treat like that. As we arrive home both Lola and James have a far away look.

"Are you ok?"

Their eyes snap to mine and they give me a small smile that doesn't reach their eyes. They look at me sympathetically and I frown sitting down in front of them.

"Ok what is it? Don't leave me in the dark like this! I know something is going on"

Lola clears her throat and shakes herself

"You're right, I'm sorry. It's just that Emmet is going to have a tough time adjusting to you being gone. He's going to find it hard to understand and it makes him really upset"
