My Sunshine

As Jordin and I made our way down the stairs to greet the Sunset pack alongside Jax, all eyes were on us. Jax's eyes were filled with lust and admiration.

"You both look beautiful," he said as he approached us.

"Thank you," I said, feeling a little shy.

"Since you are mommy's second chance mate does that mean your y my second chance daddy"? Jordin chimed in. I was speechless. I had no idea how to respond.

"Only if you want me to be," he responded and my heart swelled.

Jordin jumped to his arms smiling so big. 'This is where we are meant to be Jazz.' snow purred in my mind. 'I feel it to snow.' I then took in Jax's appearance and man he looked amazing. He was wearing blue fitted jeans that fit him oh so well and a black button-down he had tucked in his pants. Snow was purring at the sight of him. I couldn't blame her; he looked like a gift from the goddess.

"Your staring Jasmine," he said, eyeing me with a look that I could only compare to lust.

"Sorry," I said cheeks blushing I can feel them heating up.

"Don't be my mate I am all yours look all you want as I plan to do the same." His voice was low and husky. I slapped his shoulder when they announced "They are here."

My heart was beating a thousand miles an hour. What was I thinking? Can I do this? 'Jazz you are amazing, we are amazing, this is our destiny and none of them will ever take that away I promise.' Snow comforted me in my mind. I took a few deep breaths and Jax put a hand on my shoulder which calmed me down instantly. 

I soon saw the lights of SUVs and I knew there was no backing out now. I saw Anthony and his chosen mate get out of the first car. His nose went directly in the air sniffing. I knew he smelled me. They all looked worse for wear. Scars, bags under their eyes they were on the edge of downfall. As they approached they shook Jaxs hand first then mine

"Evening Alpha Jax thank you for allowing us in your territory and training us," Anthony said with his head held high nit wanting to show defeat. His chosen Luna then shook Jax's hand.

"Alpha Anthony and Luna Gail are happy to help a pack in need. But make no mistakes this is our land and you and your pack need to show us all respect." He held so much authority in his tone. They then turned to me both of them growled lowly. Anthony was first to speak "how are you even still alive." His voice wasn't angry but Gail's whew she was not happy. "Don't you think for a second this changes anything he is mine, I wear his mark, I am their Luna, remember that or you and I will have some problems." She spoke while shaking her finger thank God Jemma was holding Jordin. I grabbed her finger quickly. "Now you listen Luna" I let those words come out in a hiss. "Don't you ever threaten me I don't want your title or your pack and I definitely don't want your pathetic excuse of a mate? If you ever disrespect me again I will show you exactly how I am still alive." I said full of power and I let them feel it as she yanked her hand. "Anthony are you going to allow this." She screeched as he held no emotion. "It is not his choice you are on my land, not yours remember that and respect my Luna," Jax said with pride and I held my head high. As he wrapped a protective arm around me and Anthony growled "She is my mate." I cut him off "I was not anymore she is he is my second chance and you will do right to remember that while you are here." I said with hate in my voice. "Mommy, mommy why are they being so mean to you." Anthony's eyes widen at this little girl. "Mommy?" I didn't even care "none of your business Alpha now our beta male and female will show you to your rooms on the other side of our packhouse. Dinner will be ready in thirty minutes, training will begin at 6 am sharp your entire pack is to attend." I said sternly Gail rolled her eyes and Anthony nodded and they all followed Jason and his mate who I learned name is Jayla yes another j. I turned to Jemma asking her to put Jordin to bed. I then began walking the path to the garden. I needed to clear my head not with confusion but with everything that happened.

"You were amazing Jasmine." Said Jax has caught up to me. I smiled at him thanking him for allowing me to handle it. "My wolf was not too pleased but we believe in you." I smiled and hugged him. Not only am I shocked but so is he but he returns my embrace and kisses the top of my head.

"Jax thank you for believing in me." I sighed in his chest.

"I told you Jasmine I will always be your sunshine on your rainest days, but if that wanna-be Alpha touches you my wolf and I will tear him apart."

I knew he spoke the truth and my heart clenched he was willing to protect us, help us, and stand by us. I never thought anyone would care this much but he does. Snow is so happy.

"Jax what's his name."

"My wolf is Kane." He seemed worried I wouldn't approve.

"Can we meet him?" I really wanted to. He nodded and bowed his head. When he rose his eyes were now pure black with bright blue in the middle.

"HI, my mate." His voice came out deeper than Jax I knew I was speaking to Kane.

"Hello Kane," He growled in approval.

"I am glad you decided to give us a chance. I will never let them harm you my mate neither would Jax." He says with such love. I smiled at him and put my hand to his cheek he purred at my touch.

"I am going to let snow come out now but nothing funky mister," I said eyeing him he chuckled.

"Never my love."

I then let snow come to the surface.

"Hello, Kane."

"You both are so beautiful." He was so charming.

"You both are handsome. I am glad you are our second chance." Snow said with such hope for them.

"As I wish we could have saved you from them. But you both are so strong. My blessings." He said tracing his finger on our jaw. Snow then grabbed his hand.

"This is our chance but we have to go slow for jazz." She kissed him and Jax returned as did I. We broke staring at each other and he smiled at me grabbed my hand and walked me back to the packhouse. Maybe just maybe we could be happy.
