Author’s Note
Ever since I mentioned Einion and Briana’s back-story in Warriors of Epona, I have wanted to write a book about it. However, Isle of the Blessed did not seem the place to tell it, for it would have taken the story too far off course, and risked the reader getting lost, as if in the otherworldly forests of Annwn.
That is why I decided to write The Stolen Throne as a separate book that was released at the same time as Isle of the Blessed, so that the reader would not be left with frustrating questions about what happened to Lucius when he left for Dumnonia with Dagon and Einion.
In a way, this was a very different story to get into, as Lucius and his companions were beyond the world of Rome. Dumnonia is utterly foreign to other places in the Roman Empire where the Eagles and
