‘Blood in Annwn’
Lucius looked around, dizzy and still breathing quickly, but his eyes found them, those immortals to whom he prayed, who had helped him through countless battles. He faced them, speechless - Epona, Venus, and Apollo, an aura of brightness emanating from them where they stood in that moonlit grove beneath the far reaching branches of trees as old as time.
Lucius wanted to run to them, to fall upon his knees before them and be comforted, but their passive stance told him that was not possible.
“Welcome, Dragon,” a smooth voice called from behind him, directly opposite his gods.
Lucius felt a chill run the length of his body as he turned slowly to face the Morrigan, that dark goddess who had haunted him since blood had been spilled in Caledonia.
