TWENTY-FOURTHE TRIP TO THE VILLAGE itself was very quiet and uneventful. Almost no traffic on the road, save for a couple of small trucks and the odd late-night traveler. Although this time of year was technically tourist season for the area, few go for midnight drives. After about 25 miles of following the coastline through various small nature reserves flanking the highway, we finally came to the turnoff, turning left. Then another 5 miles of quiet road. After 4 of these, some streetlights came into view, illuminating the outskirts of the residential suburb that appeared on the right. Little sign boards by every turnoff reminded us which direction for this or that bed & breakfast, or restaurant, or hotel.
