*Beverly hills*

Jayden stirred in his bed as his alarm device kept ringing nonstop. He knew it was time to get up.

Last night was crazy, he couldn't even remember the woman's face but hell she was something else.

She went down on him so many times that he lost count. He never tried to pleasure a woman before, he only took what he wanted and moved on with no strings attached.

He got into the shower to freshen up and get ready for work. Jayden looked like a demi god- flawless skin, chiseled chin and height. He was carved like a painting.

His piercing blue eyes were hard to ignore, with thick and long lashes that stood out also, overall he was a very handsome man but with a cold aura.

*At the dining hall*

"JK! why do you treat me like this?" Olivia stood in front of him with folded arms."

"You can hear me, JK don't ignore me"

"What is it? Liv? he asked uninterested

"You were at the club yesterday with some b***h"

Jayden turned to look at her with angry eyes " Stay the hell out of my business, Liv.this is a contracted engagement-have you forgotten?

"I'm not stopping you from enjoying yourself too don't concern yourself with my life I'm warning you" he added

"JK you know how I feel about you" her voice was cracking a bit

"You know what you signed up for,so why are you complaining? we are getting married for the merger. Don't expect more " he walked out on her

*Karitas University*

"Ady!! you are here already!" Joan was beamed, her smile infectious

"Good morning, Joan. yeah I came to submit the internship letter so I can get the school's approval. The interview is tomorrow"

" You are right, girl.I'm so nervous"

"Don't be. We'll be fine" Adella encouraged her

Adella Dawson, was twenty-three, a final year student in karitas University, majoring in business administration with a focus on marketing and international business. She was a topper in her class.

Orphaned at a young age and raised by her grandmother, she had seen the harsh side of life.

It didn't change her though, she still grew up as a good and honest girl with her undeniable beauty, she made people around her feel seen.

*Fresh Fold laundromat*

Adella had just returned from submitting her internship letter, when she saw her grandmother trying to use the washing machine for some orders she received while she was away.

"Granny! what are you doing?" She ran towards her to collect the basket filled with clothes.

"Oh Ady! you are back from school, did It get approved? " Gweneth tried to stall her question

"It did" the interview is tomorrow, but granny I told you not to do this didn't I? "

"I have to my dear, Joe called in sick. He won't be coming today" she protested

"You're not strong enough maa, please go inside. I'll do It"

After a lot of Persuasion,she finally agreed to let Ady take over the laundry.

Ady was halfway through her laundry when her phone rang, she picked It.

" Hey girl! you free? let's hangout" Jackie's voice sounded a bit frustrated and angry

"Sorry Jackie, I'm having my interview tomorrow at kross I can't" she sounded apologetic

"No issues, sorry I totally forgot"

"To the club Sir. I'll call you later Ady and good luck with your interview" she hung up immediately.

Ady knew something was bothering her but she felt bad as she couldn't help her today. She sighed apologetically.

*Club Eclipse*

Kyle sat in his plush chair already bored and needed to go out to clear his head for a while.

"I'm going out on a survey" he announced

He got into his black Ashton Martin car and sped of to another club to do his market survey.

*Kross Group*

The day for the interview was finally here Adella and Joan sat at the lobby, they were both feeling nervous as they didn't know what to expect.

Adella was dressed in a corporate wear, with her black trouser, a white shirt and sweater vest, pairing it with black shoes, she tied her hair up- she looked beautiful and young.

"What's on the agenda today? Jayden asked his secretary, who was trying to leave his office as soon as he dropped the coffee for him

"You have no important meetings today, Sir. You have handled them all last week"

He nodded his head to approving his dismissal.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door,

"Come in"

"Sorry Sir, but the head manager just called in. He had an accident today and won't be able to make it on time"

"So?" Jayden asked not looking up from the file in his hands

"Well..there is a golf match this morning with the foreign investors and he was supposed to go"

"Get me the gears" he said pinching the space between his brows

*Kross lobby*

"You can wait for the head manager in his office, he'll be here soon" the secretary of the head manager spoke politely.

"Thank you" she murmured still feeling uneasy

Joan had been called in for her interview, they were interviewed in different sections.

Jayden stepped into the manager's room to get the clothes he'll be needing as his secretary had to stepped out to pick one of the investors.

Still feeling uneasy, Adella clutched her file tighter as she approached the office. The secretary said it would be empty but still she felt nervous.

She knocked once and slowly turned the knob of the door stepping inside....

She froze

Her breath caught.

She could never have imagined anything like this, standing in front of her was a half naked Jayden, shirtless, rummaging through some drawers, looking for something only him knew of.

For a while, she lost focus, she just stood there fixed to the ground and not moving his ocean eyes didn't help atall- they held her in place.

Jayden finally broke the trance, "Like what you see?

"Huh, yes, I mean no, No! " she stuttered

"I'm so sorry Sir, I was told to wait for the head manager here" she dashed out of the room immediately

She ran downstairs as fast as she could crashing into the secretary of the manager.

"Sorry"

"Why are you here miss? the secretary asked her thinking she couldn't find the room.

"Please can I just wait outside" She pleaded

"Okay then , I'll just call you when he's here"

About minutes later, the secretary came to escort her to the office.

It wasn't the same office she noticed.

The office she had entered was finely decorated. This one was subtle but more sophisticated on a closer look. It had a dark feel, with the dark and monotone colours used for the office decoration and furniture.

"You can wait here miss Adella" the secretary ushered her in and she smiled

"You seem eager to give orders in my office, Jerry" Jayden walked out of his inner room.

"N-no Sir" he dashed out

Adella looked up she remembered that voice! "Like what you see".

They looked at each other like they were in competition.

She couldn't forget the image of what she saw, that body was hot, he had a tattoo on his back that cross across his chiseled torso with his abs looking like Strong chocolate bars and the eyes- they were holding her captive.

"Sit " Jk said to have her move.

"Your resume, if you are done staring" he stretched his hand.

Adella flushed, biting the inside of her cheeks.

"Crazy narcissist" she screamed in her mind

"Right! Focus " She reminded herself, this was her dream internship .

She slid the resume across the desk.
