Confusion and understanding.

A women. Spirit. Ghost. Me. Hovered above the ground before me. It was like I stood in front of myself only her hair was glowing silver. Her eyes looked through me like she could see every thought and action I've had through my lifespan. Her skin lighter than mine. She was dressed in a white fitted dress that flowed from her waist to her feet. I was stuck in a trance trying to take in all the beauty she possessed.

"B-burdens? " I stuttered.

"I'm sorry but I think you have the wrong person." I say furrowing my eyebrows.

"Wait what did you say alpha king..- my father," my heart clenched.

My dear there is much for you to learn. I shouldn't be bending the rules like this. But a great war is coming and if I don't prepare you, thousands and then millions of lives will be lost. "What,who?" Before I knew it my surroundings went back to pitch black my eyes adjusting to the sudden change.

I see a large black wolf appear from behind a tree and automatically turn back to the lake picking up small stones and skimming them across the water.

I hear rustling of leaves and branches snapping. His scent intoxicating as he closes the distance between us as he stops a few feet in front of me.

"Forgive me for my behaviour back there. My temper got the better of me; even that is no excuse, for my actions." I skim another rock into the lake.

"I hope I didn't hurt you and your mate." I continued turning to face Damon my face showing remorse.

"Don't apologise, if anything I'm sorry for being so childish about the situation. That shewolf is tahlia. She is the daughter to the beta of our pack.-"

"You don't need to explain although I wasn't apologising either." I say glaring at him.

"Do you always butt in when people speak."

"As much as I want a life story of the love of your life before you reject me I would rather not." I reply.

"I'm not here to reject you Aurora actually quite the opposite. I came here to ask you to give me a chance. I might have been with Tahlia for 2 years but since laying my eyes on you I know she will never have my heart like you do. Kissing her in front of you made me want to throw up and my wolf want to kill me. I never felt more regret in my life." Damon sighed looking down at the ground.

I took that moment to look at him. He was in a pair of basketball shorts, you could see his abs from the moonlight and me oh my he looked good. Sweat trinkled from his forehead as he put his fingers through his hair only to catch me eye f*****g him. I quickly lpoked back to the lake hoping he didn't see me just undress him with my eyes. But me being me, the odds weren't in my favour as I heard him let out a light chuckle.

"I'm glad we are on the same page then" he smirked.

"What are you talking about." Coking an eyebrow at him trying to contain myself from dying of embarrassment.

"Do you know how hard it is not to mate and mark you when you look like that." He says diverting his eyes.

I look down to realise that I'm butt naked.. if my jaw could of hit the ground it will be there. My face was as red as a tomato and for once I was speechless. I tried to open my mouth to say something but my body was not cooperating and mila was purring making me even more flustered. Stupid body. Stupid wolf I cursed.

I felt a heavy material wrap around me and Damons arms linger around my shoulder.

"T-thank you." I whispered. What the hell is this boy doing it me?!

He laughed and pulled me into his chest. "Anytime my little mate." He replied

We sat there for what felt like hours talking getting to know each other. I told him about my parents and my situation. How I've just become the alpha of the silver moon pack. Turns out once he finds his Luna he was meant to take over. We came up with a few ideas but nothing concrete as I needed to consult with my pack first. Before I know it we had drifted off to sleep.

DAMONS POV* HIS THOUGHTS ON AURORA.

I could smell something sweet and intoxicating the moment we entered the pack house. It was driving my wolf crazy but I couldn't go find out what it was with Tahlia clinging to my side and my father breathing down my neck. So I avoided him. The scent would come and go and I was getting frustrated. We headed to the bar so we could get some drinks I tried to stall for a bit because I could smell it again. It was strong and enchanting my wolf was howling yelling something inaudible. Stupid wolf.

The boys had gone to find some shewolfs while Tahlia pulled us towards her friends.

I lent on the treè uninterested in there conversation when a beautiful girl walked towards the bar.

Her dress fitted her perfectly, her curves were breath taking. All I could picture was grabbing her ass. When she suddenly turned around and her eyes locked with mine.

And I knew shè was my mate.

My eternity.

I couldn't take my eyes off her in all honesty I didn't want to.

Then tahlia stepped in front of me breaking our eye cotact apart of me wanted to push her away. Then she pulled me into a kiss, I felt repulsed picturing myself with my mate.

I grabbed her arse hoping my vomit would stay in my body. I looked up at my mate to see her giving me a death glare. That' moment I knew I f****d up.

Her eyes flickered from silver to blue. Wtf blue. I have never seen that before I stood there shocked confused and in a trance at the power radiating from her.

Next thing I know she throws her glass at the wall making it shatter into little shards and she is making her way right to me.

I knew shè was the alpha and the blue eyes gave it away from my dad's story he told me to stay out of her way. That she's more pOwerful then she knows.

Great and I've gone and made her angry. f**k me. Two guys ran to her side and grabbed her hands my wolf was mad. I was mad. Then this wolf had the ordasity to touch my mate. Stroking her face.

After that I saw red and then I realised I had him by the throat until she spoke again I turned to my father and mother who looked dissapointed then to her who was digging her claws into Tahlias neck.

I was mad at myself because it was my fault. So I dropped the wolf and ran towards her. Lost for words she had me pinned down.

I didn't even want to try get out partly because I liked the close proximity between us.

I was in deep thought taking in all her beautiful features when she said I aurora Bane reject you da- my heart stopped.

I could feel it breaking with the words flowing from her mouth. I had to say some thing wait please stop is all I could stutter. My wolf whining and snarling at me.

I wanted to be her mate she looked like she was fighting with herself and wolf before she took off to the woods.

Tahlia ran in the opposite direction and I knew what I had to do.

Go get my matè and beg if I had to for a second chance.
