Epilogue
“So, this is it, all my stuff,” Evan says, looking at the boxes in Rene’s guesthouse. They decided to put the stuff he doesn’t need day to day, mainly work related, in the guesthouse. Rene had suggested that Evan take it over as a work space.
“We could unpack, or we could go to the house and watch TV,” Rene suggests. He’s feeling oddly content. He’d spent a week in the hospital, and then they’d started moving Evan’s stuff, starting with his cat, who’s decided the kitchen is his favorite place to hang out in.
Rene likes to pretend he doesn’t like Marshmallow, but he can’t help but feel affection for the fluffy little asshole. The cat is a diva, lives to get his own way, and loves getting all of Evan’s attention. That’s the only reason Rene pretends not to like the fluffy monster
