DANTE
The second time the green monsters brought them food, Dante took their picture. The lighting was adequate, so he didn’t use a flashbulb. However, the click of the camera startled the monster with the black stick. It aimed the stick at Dante as if it was a loaded g*n, but Dante remained still with his gaze down as he discreetly studied the lock mechanism on the door. The other creature scooped up the empty food and water containers and took them out. Then it tossed in two new white boxes, and they shut the door. The lock clicked.
