Despite Drey being the only man Betty has ever loved or shown any affection for, he still couldn't stand the thought of her talking with another man, not to mention even touching one.
There he stood staring deep down into this fellow having fun with the woman he cherished most. For a second, he thought about pulling out his gun and blowing off his bald skull.
"Hi man, you're her friend here to check up on her right?" Henry asked Drey still smiling. feeling proud of himself since he had a beautiful lady laughing at his jokes.
Drey was already steaming and trying very hard to pull himself together.
"He's my boyfriend."
"Henry meet my boyfriend, Drey"
"Drey, this is Henry, he rushed me to the hospital after I was... ambushed".
Betty said in a calm tone, she didn't want things to get heated between Drey and Henry so soon.
"Oh cool, nice to meet you man," Henry said, extending his arm to shake Drey.
Drey despite being the little man between them both, looked at Henry's hands with disgust as if he had poop all over him.
After giving himself a few seconds to cool off, he gave Henry a thumbs-up and went to sit next to Betty on the bed.
"How are you, my love?"
He asked Betty, pulling her close to himself and placing her head on his chest as he rubbed her arm to make her feel warm and cozy.
"I'm fine. There's nothing wrong with me."
"How did you get here? We've searched for you for weeks now, I thought I had lost you Bet." He said pulling her more closely to himself."
"She seemed to have been knocked out or something" Henry responded.
"Dude I wasn't talking to you, man."
"I know, I'm just..."
"So why don't you just shut the f**k up, bro."
"Drey come on..." Betty said as she pulled out of his arms.
"No, you tell this n***a to keep quiet and mind his business. You helped bring her here, okay, thanks. Do you mind taking your leave now? Or do you want a letter of recommendation? A job? what is it?!"
"Listen Drake, or whatever your name is, just because you have an old rusty badge hanging on your chest doesn't mean you can talk sh*t to anyone. I'll whoop your a** right back to Canada."
At this point, Drey was totally surprised at how Henry responded so he stood up and walked up to where Henry was seated who also stood up to face off with him.
"Sir, I need you to leave this office right now... and that's not a request," Drey said in a rather authoritative tone, pointing his right arm at the room entrance.
"Otherwise what? Officer". Henry said staring right into his eyes with no sign of him backing down.
Their heated conversation was already making Betty feel dizzy and tired so she laid down back on her bed, clutching onto her pillow while watching the both of them, too weary to speak to any of the two men who were ready to tear up each other for no good reason.
"That's enough guys". Betty said feeling drained of her strength by them.
"Henry could you please excuse us for now? I'll talk to you later. I promise". Betty said intending to calm down both parties but Drey didn't take it lightly so he lashed out and said, "what? talk about what later? Are you kidding me?".
"Drey just calm down and let him leave".
"I'm sorry but I'm going nowhere leaving you here with this crazy a**hole."
Drey forcefully pushed against his chest, Henry didn't waste a second to throw him a heavy right jab. They both grabbed onto each other trying to wrestle themselves to the ground.
Out of nowhere pops up Damian holding a bunch of freshly plucked red roses and a box of chocolate, putting on a black leather jacket, a white T-shirt, and black leather jeans.
He had his medium-length black hair well-jelled and parted to the left side with a tattoo on the right side of his neck that spelled "Daemi".
Immediately he walked into the room, everyone stared motionlessly like their pause button had been tapped.
Betty looked the most surprised amongst them all because all these while, the Damian she knew was a guy who always wore baggy suits that weren't even his size. She had never seen or dreamt of him looking this hot.
"And who is this also?" Drey asked as he shoved off Henry from himself and turned back to look at Betty.
"I'm her colleague, I just came to visit her". Damian said.
"Hey Mr. tight jeans, no one is talking to you so you can do yourself a favor by keeping quiet, alright?"
"There he goes again ordering everyone around. Look, you need to leave man". Henry was already fed with up Drey's attitude and ready to give him another black eye if he had to.
"Alright can the both of you just leave me alone please? You're driving me nuts". Betty said frustrated as she used her hands to pull her hair upwards and scratched all over her scalp till her hair was looking tousled.
None of them were willing to leave which drove her even crazier.
"Nurse!" she screamed out.
A nurse immediately ran in. "Please I need you to get these two men out of here". She said to the nurse looking all stressed out and exhausted.
"Alright ma", she said as she gestured to both Drey and Henry that they needed to give her some space.
Drey immediately picked up his hat from the floor and stormed out of the room while Henry walked slowly behind him.
Damian was still standing close to the entrance of the door looking around the room with a straight face.
"So are you planning on giving me the flowers or are they for someone else?"
"Ohh!" Damian exclaimed as he quickly rushed to give her the flowers. She took them with a pleasant smile and took a long sniff of the flowers.
"They smell very nice, thanks".
"you're welcome". He replied smiling back at her.
"You feeling better now?"
"Yeah, sure, thanks for asking"
"So, hmm, why were you out in the woods that late?"
"Wait, what? How did you know that?..."
Betty replied with her eyes wide open, eyebrows raised, and jaws dropped open.
