I woke up feeling groggy, with a sore throat and a dull pain all over. It took a minute or two before I can get my eyes to focus. Memories of me giving birth came flashing forward and my hands automatically went to my stomach. Panic arises but The soft blue lights were just enough for me to see Chase and Nana sleeping on the chairs next to my bed, Luck nodding off standing guard at the door and Eli fast asleep with a baby securely tucked in his arms.
The need to have my baby in my arms came at a painful speed. My breast was full and aching. Not thinking much of it, I went to get up so I can get my baby and feed him or her. The crippling pain sent me back tumbling onto the bed and I had barely made it an inch off the bed. My scream probably woke up the whole hospital.
