Thomas Key: A Time Adventure to the Past

December 26, 1999 A day after christmas when everyone has celebrated with their loved ones, a boy named Thomas is still excited, for this day is another special one for him worth celebrating with his family. 6:00 am in the morning her mother wokes her up with warm hugs and kisses. Florence: "Thomas wake up. Its your birthday my son, get up and let us celebrate this wonderful day. Hurry up or you'll miss your cake." Thomas: "I am awake mother, im coming right up!" Thomas hurried up worrying that his little brother had already gobbled up his birthday cake. Ben: "Hey Thomas guess what i already ate your cake and there is nothing left for you!" his brother teases him early. Paul: "Come on dont tease him it's his birthday today" Thomas's older brother. Thomas is the 2nd child of Florence and Gerald, Ben the youngest of the four, Thomas, Paul, and their eldest Peter. Florence: "Come on now here on the table and let us pray before we start the feast" They prayed and sang his happy birthday song before feasting on the little food that their parents have prepared. Though not as big as a banquet, they shared happily and did not pay attention anymore to wether they have a lavish feast or not. 12:00 noon Thomas went outside their house to play with his brother's and their dog. They went a little far from their house and on their way Ben decided to go to the town. Ben: "Hey Paul, Tom, let's go to the town's market they said the fisherman's have a lot of catch today, let's go before the fish gets sold out" Thomas: "But aren't we going to be in trouble if we went that far? I dont want us to go home late" Paul "Thomas is right Ben, we should just stay where we can go home as early as possible" Ben: "Come on brother its your birthday, i promise we wont be there for too long, i just want to see the fishes please?" Thomas: "But..." Ben: "Pleaseeee???" Thomas: "Okay! fine, but as soon as you see the fishes we go home soon okay?" Ben: "Yes i promise! Thanks a lot! Lets go!" Paul: "Whew, can't say no to him can you?" Thomas: "Well he promised it wont take him too long so i think its fine" Paul: "Hahaha, Okay lets go then" The three brother's went to the market and when they arrived some of their friends greeted Thomas. Uncle Roger: "Thomas! Happy birthday my boy! Think you could come by my farm sometime? I got a lot of chicks that hatched yesterady if you can come maybe i could give you some of them" Thomas: "Of course Uncle! maybe tomorrow me and my brothers will go there" Uncle Roger: "That is great boy! Oh i see that you three are going to the towns market" Ben: "Yes Uncle! do you want to go too? There's a lot of catch by the fishermans today they said" Uncle Roger: " I wish i could go little man but i got too sell these eggs today, pardon me if i cant go with you" Paul: " Its okay uncle, we hope you have a great day today!" Uncle Roger: "Sure do my boy's, you watch yourselves out there and dont go home too late" "Yes Uncle!" the three brothers replies As expected the towns market was flooded with people wanting to buy the fishes that arrived. Luckily Ben get to see the fishes and getting so carried away by the crowds, they did not noticed the time. It was already 5:30 in the evening and their house is 10 minutes away, while some do not worry about going home late, the path to Thomas's house is a little grassy like a savannah with few houses around it. Thomas: "Oh no, we need to go home now!" Ben: "I'm sorry we got caught dark on the road" Ben is a little anxious. Paul: "It's okay let's just go now so we don't go home late even further" The three brothers hurried up and walked fast as they could. On their way Thomas realized that somebody was following them on their way home. They were still 10 minutes away from their home and he is getting nervous thinking about what they will do if they encounter harmsway. Thomas took the courage to shout at whoever was following them, Paul and Ben got shocked and they decided to run and ask for help to a house from a distance. Thomas was left behind with the strange cloaked man standing just a few steps away from him. Thomas asked the man "Who are you?". A moment of silence before the man replied, "You seem like a fine man, today is the day you were born right?" "How did you know that?" thomas replied. "You can see that it is the day a man was born when you see the light that was bestowed upon their palms." without flickering the man was already holding Thomas's hand. "I will give you something as a gift for your birthday, Thomas, but when you open this, you must think of me and i will tell you everything that needs to be told." Thomas is confused for what the man said, suddenly Paul and Ben came rushing to them, but the man was already gone. Ben: "Are you okay!?" ben asked with a nervous and teary aspect of tone. Thomas: "I am fine, you dont have to worry lets go home" nervous but a little confused they went and got home safely. The next day thomas did not realized it that he was carrying a small pocket watch with him seemingly an old model of the earliest pocket watch. Thomas decided to open it but the clock has already stopped for quite a time. Strangely enough he thought of the man the other night and suddenly, the man appeared right in front of his very eyes. Stranger: "I see you already saw my gift Thomas. baffled and scared by what he saw thomas calmed himself as best as he could. Thomas: "Wh.. Who are you? Why did you suddenly appeared in front of me!?" Stranger: "I am the clock keeper Thomas, and i saw fit that you are the right person to keep this watch. Let me tell you a story as i promised the other day, you need to listen closely because it is very important for you to listen to all i am going to say alright? But first let us go somewhere else" The strange man lifted a thin brush then suddenly they were sitting in a large vast bungalow full of books that some are unreadable because of its foreign langugage embedded on it. Thomas: "What happened? where are we?" Clock-Keeper: "This is my home as you may call it, but dont worry thomas time here is not the same as yours, we can spend the whole day here but when you go back time will still be the same as you left" Thomas: "Why did you bring me here?" Clock-Keeper: "I will tell you a story of course, pardon me for the other night i may have casted fear to you and your brothers i apologize for that Thomas." Thomas: "It's okay sir but, i am still confused on what is going on." Clock-Keeper: "You're a good kid Thomas, and let me tell you what that watch can do. Open it, and think about a certain time where you want to go back." Thomas is still doubtful but he decided to think about something as he was holding the watch. Clock-Keeper: "Now when you're decided. Open your eyes." As Thomas opened his eyes, he was driven away by a surge of bright warm lights that carried him and the Clock-keeper. Clock-keeper "Relax Thomas! Just let the flow take you in! Like a bird flapping his wings. Come on Thomas" Thomas: "I can't!" Thomas was already shedding his tears thinking he was about to die. But the Clock-keeper held him and glided him up. Clock-keeper "See? There is nothing to worry about! You will get used to it someday Thomas." he teases Thomas a bit. Moments later Thomas realized that they were at his school, but, it is the year that he was still a kid.
