My chest heaved as I panted.
I hadn't meant to move.
But my hand forced its way up to s***h the creature which tried to deceive me by using the figure of my father.
I froze.
With a trembling breath, I regained control of my hand which was suspended in the air.
I quickly brought it down and took a look at it.
The pocket knife was stained with blood, and so was my hand.
It was the first time I killed a living being which walked on two legs.
I froze again.
I remembered the boy was still alive.
He was a demon too.
This time, I consciously raised my hand to stab him.
But he caught it and tightened his grip.
I struggled to break free from his hold, but he didn't let go.
Then the knife forced its way out of my hand and with a s***h on his wrist, he loosened his grip.
I sat on the floor.
The pocket knife floated in front of me.
The boy groaned in pain.
He grabbed his wrist and with full force, pulled off his hand and quickly threw it away before it exploded.
“What is the meaning of this!?”
He shouts.
“You'll pay, you'll pay!”
He charged at me.
Then with another s***h across his neck by the pocket knife, he slumped and his head shattered.
I was speechless, my eyes widened in shock.
“Please don't hurt me,” I cried as I curled up.
The knife rested beside my leg, clattering on the ground as though it was a regular knife.
I slowly looked at it and I hesitated but picked it up.
It forced itself off my hand again.
In the air, it pointed at the door on the left, which was where I came through when I came to see the boy who cried.
It slowly began to move.
I trembled, but I stood up from where I sat and followed it.
We walked out the building and made our way through the city.
We encountered other deadly creatures, but we hid ourselves in order not to attract more.
As soon as the coast was clear, we began to move.
“What's going on?”
I asked, but it didn't respond.
“Where are you taking me?”
I asked a different question, but still no answer.
I pouted, the knife wasn't responding.
After walking for fifty minutes, we got to a building.
I raised my head to look at it.
It was big, there were two huge metal doors.
Out of one of the door handle, rolled out a security camera, and by scanning the knife, it slowly split open as it screeched on the floor.
We walked in, and this time, the doors quickly closed itself, I quickly turned around to look at the doors, then back at the knife which kept moving forward.
I followed it.
My footsteps echoed as we made our way in.
Inside was spacious, quiet and warm.
Soft green light from the light bulbs shone down on us.
The deeper we went, the darker it got till we made our way towards another door.
The knife tapped on the door with its edge, signalling me to push it open.
I hesitated, I couldn't trust it just yet, but it saved me.
I placed my hands on the door and with a push, the doors opened.
My eyes widened in disbelief.
I saw, humans, but though I couldn't be sure if they were demons or humans.
Everyone's attention turned to us.
I stood still, staring back at them, before the knife softly tapped my back with its bottom.
I knew it signalled me to walk in.
I did, but I was nervous because all eyes were on me.
My eyes skipped a beat when I saw some armed individuals.
They held swords, and guns.
The knife quickly landed on a blanket laid on the ground.
I knew it was trying to tell me to sit down there, and I did.
I exhaled.
“This should be some sort of headquarter for an armed force which fights these demons,” I thought to myself.
I turned my head to the left to look at someone sitting beside me.
His hair was red, he was covered in a blanket.
He trembled.
“He isn't in any position to answer any questions I asked him.”
I stayed silent and took my gaze off him.
“But I need answers, like what is this place, how are there armed men here when millions were brought into the tower?”
These were the answers I needed, but no one was in the right place to answer.
In fact, I seemed like I was the only calm one in the room.
Suddenly, all armed men hurriedly stood at each side of the door.
They stood upright with their hands at their back.
The rest of us were shocked, some were sacred.
The doors slowly slide open and a man walked out of it.
