CHAPTER 26 SOPHIE Reed Hutton looks just like I remember him. I'd seen his older pictures. As a young man, he'd had a big, full head of brown hair, perfect white teeth that gleam in the late afternoon sun, and eyes so blue they could make you break into a cold sweat on a warm afternoon. As a middle-aged man, he's not much different. Sure, the plastic surgery and fake tan haven't taken well on his skin. His hair is thinner, streaked with grey, and his eyes have receded into a deep pool of wrinkles. But he's still handsome.
