CHAPTER 25 JACOB I dial Sophie's number again, and her voicemail picks up again. This is starting to feel like the one time she didn't answer, before. That night when everything came to a head. I cringe as the thought floats through my mind and I tell myself to knock it off. I'm imagining things again. Imagining patterns where there are none.
