Chapter 8 - Figuring Out A Plan

Jake's P.O.V

    I start to wake up remembering the wonderful events that happened last night between Becca and me. I look down and even when she is sleeping she is just the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes on. She looks so peaceful right now. I hate that soon I will have to ruin all the good feelings when I explain the evets that happened the other night. But I know that I have to disclose all the information to her so that we can start making a plan. 

    I'm pulled out of my thoughts my Becca starting to stir. I see her eyes flutter as she starts to wake up. When she looks up a huge smile spreads across her face and it makes my heart melt with just the sight of her. I pull her closer to me if that's even possible she's already so close. I hear her moan from my warmth, but of course it makes me think of dirty things and my wolf stirs from the sound.

    'Let us have her again. I want her again and all the time.' Hex groans.

    'Not now, we have work to do. I have to tell her everything.' I cut him off and go back to Becca.

    I slowly untangle myself from Becca to get up and get some clothes. I throw on some sweats and a tee shirt. Then I grab some sweat pants and a hoodie for Becca. I also grab some underwear for her as well. I had some of her clothes brought in when we started to get to know each other. I throw them at her as I get closer. She throws the hoodie on and then her underwear, but she doesn't put the pants on. I swear she is trying to kill me. I groan as I follow her to the bathroom. 

    "Do you have a toothbrush here for me as well." She asks smirking referring to her underwear. 

    I chuckle at her and nod over to the toothbrush that is still in it's package. I watch her wash her face and brush her teeth. She then brushes her hair and throws it up into a messy bun. After a while she looks satisfied with how she looks and as she passes me out of the bathroom she gives me a kiss on the cheek. I too brush my teeth and then follow her back into the bedroom. I sit on the couch and I motion for her to come over to me. Once she sits down next to me I just look at how happy she looks and it kills me that I will again be the reason that she won't be smiling.

    "What is it?" She asks breaking the silence first.

    "I want to tell you everything that happened the other night. The night with Sally." I pause for a moment as I watch the smile disappear from her face. I sigh as I go to continue. "As soon as Sally told me that she wanted me for just one more night I went to my dad for help. We made a plan to trap her so that we could keep her locked up until after we got to Chase and then decide on what to do with her. But we got out smarted. Chase showed up with a bunch of other rogues and was able to free her and they both took off together. Chase punched me and that's why I stayed away from you all day. I didn't want you to worry so much and I wanted to rest so that I could be at my best for you." I get everything out and I just wait for her to respond. I can she that she is battling her wolf on what to say and how they feel about all the information that I gave her.

    After about ten minutes of nothing. "I trust you. I overheard the whole thing in the kitchen. I was really upset at first and crushed when I felt my chest start to tighten. Then my dad let me in the gist of the plan and that's when I knew that I could go to sleep and everything between us is going to be okay. I want to help though on getting to Chase and Sally. We have to put a stop to them." Becca says and it reassures me that she is the most understanding, amazing mate ever.

    I lean in and kiss her softly and I relax even more when I feel her kiss me back. I pull away and just stare at how beautiful she is. I get up and tell her that I'm making her breakfast. I'm a little surprised that she decides to help so we put on some music and start to cook breakfast together. It is such an amazing moment between us that I keep taking in every detail so that I can remember everything about this morning. Together we made eggs, bacon, waffles, and hash browns. It was such a full feast. I plated our food up while Becca poured us each a glass of milk. We sat at the table. We eat, talk, and joke around. I just can't keep my eyes off of her. This moment is just so perfect that I can't wait to make more moments like this with her. Our moment is soon ruined by my dad mind linking us.

    'I want both of you dressed and in my office in ten minutes there's a lot that we need to discuss.' He says in such a serious tone. 

    Becca and I look each other and just sigh in disappointment. Becca takes our plates to the sink and then starts to leave to go get dressed, but I stop her before she leaves. I turn her around and tell her that she doesn't have to leave. I show her to the closet and show her that some of her clothes are already in my room. My heart melts again when I see her smile return at the sight of her clothes. She jumps in excitement and kisses me. We then both get dressed trying so hard to keep our hands and eyes to ourselves. We then walk hand in hand down to my father's office. We are smiling and laughing up until we enter the office and see that everyone else is so serious. Our smiles fall instantly.

    There's maps and paperwork all over my father's desk as they are trying to figure out where Chase could be. We all start to look at the map. And that's when Becca speaks up to give some insight. "I was here at this spot the first time that Chase approached me. Then when he was running away he went West of the lake so that means that he has to be somewhere in that direction right? And not too far away if he was quick enough to get to Sally the other night." She says with such conviction. I'm proud with how she is handling herself in this situation and I know that she will be an amazing Luna and rule beside me.

    "Okay, then we will start by searching out that way, but we have to be careful because they know what most of scents are so the element of surprise is going to be difficult." My father says.

    "Well then why don't we just start searching. We just need to find out where they are. Just because we find them doesn't mean we have to attack right away. Plus we can help ourselves out by calling some surrounding packs to see if they know of any rogues near by. That too will also help us narrow down specifically where they are. Once we find them then we can come up with a solid attack plan." Warrior Shawn explains.

    "I agree with my dad. You never start a fight that you are unprepared for." Becca says taking a lesson from her father I assume.

    I see him smile at her and she smiles back at him. In this moment I can see how strong my mate truly is, not only physically, but intellectually. I know that she can feel my eyes on her and she is trying not to look, but our bond makes that difficult. She looks over and I smirk at her and that causes her to blush. I chuckle a little and that makes everyone stare at us, which makes Becca blush even more. 

    "When we do come up with a plan to fight, I want to be out there as well." Becca says determined.

    "Absolutely not." My father, her father, and myself say at the same time. 

    "We will talk about it when the time comes, but I refuse to sit here protected when my pack is out fighting for me. It's not going to happen. I will fight with my pack. I am going to be the future Luna and I want my pack to know that I will fight for their safety just as they would fight for me." Becca says and then abruptly leaves the office. We all look at each other in shock of what just happened.

    "Wow. I think she's going to give you guys a run for your money, boys." My mother laughs at the faces that we are making and follows Becca out.

       At least we know that we have a starting point of what we are doing. It's nice to know that we aren't going in blind to this fight. But hopefully this can all be over soon so that we can be safely. I just want to start my life with Becca, but none the less we have a plan now.
