{Shitari’s POV}
After the events of tonight, Feryn took Arabella back to her room, and when she was gone I finally let out the breath I was holding. “She.. she’s so small. So frail.. so soft..” I said, remembering how her skin felt against my hands, holding her up by her arms as she looked up at me. Only then did I realize that she walked away with a limp, she hurt herself when she fell. I decided I’d go up and help heal up her ankle. I knocked on the door, and as I opened it I could see her standing there, the moonlight pouring in through the window, her nightgown on the floor as Feryn was helping her into a new one.
She had her back to me.. and I could see her curvy body as Feryn pulled the other nightgown over her head. Once it was on she turned to face me, her face a beautiful shade of red. “Shitari.. I mean, your highness..” she said bowing.
I walked over to her, picking her up bridal style and carrying her to her bed. I sat her down and lifted her leg ever so slightly, taking a look at her ankle. “Please.. call me Shitari.. or even Tari..” I said, twisting her ankle softly. She winced and let out a soft gasp. “You’ve sprained it.. I’m going to heal it up for you..” I said, gently lying my hand down around her ankle and infusing my magic into her. She let out a soft whimper, and a gasp, causing me to look back at her. Her cheeks were red, and her eyes closed tightly, her bottom lip between her teeth. I felt heat rise to my cheeks as I set her foot down and stood up. “Okay, that should do it..” goodnight Ms. Arabella.” I said, turning and running from the room, running into NymKarna. I gripped his shoulders and pointed towards my room, and we both took off.
I closed the door and turned to face him. “What is wrong with me?” I asked, pacing the floor. “Every time she looks at me I begin to panic, my head feels fuzzy, my body hot.. those noises she was making..” I said, turning to face him.
“Noises? What noises? What were you two doing?” He asked, a smirk spreading across his face.
I shook my head. “Nothing like that.. I was just healing her ankle from her fall.. but she whimpered.. and bit her lip.. and I just..” I muttered, completely flustered.
“Brother.. you’ve got it bad.. and you’ve got it bad not only for a human.. but for the sacrifice of Arcanum..” he sighed, placing his hand on my shoulder. “It doesn’t help that you’ve never been with a woman..” he shrugged and I punched his arm.
“All of the fae women are tall, lanky, and rude.. they only want me for my title.. she’s different.” I said, thinking of her beautify smile.
“You mean how she doesn’t want you?” He asked, and I flipped him around pushing him to my door.
“Why do I even bother?” I asked, mostly myself as I opened the door and pushed him into the hallway.
He stopped me as I was closing the door and leaned into it. “Though.. that smile.. and that cold demeanor she showed.. not to mention those curves..” he smirked. “I completely get it brother.. I’ve been with tons of fae, and humans, but I don’t think I’ve met anyone like her.” With that, he turned and strolled down the hallway.
I closed the door and sighed heavily, before making my way to my bed flopping down in it. “Da****.. I can’t believe that I’m getting attached to this human.. it’s not even been a full day yet.. I need to try to keep my distance, I can’t be getting too attached. I laid back, and tried to sleep, but no matter how much I tossed and turned, I couldn’t rest, every time I closed my eyes, I saw hers staring back at me.
{Arabella’s POV}
I looked to Feryn after Shitari left. “That was weird.. right?” I asked, pointing to the door.
She nodded, a small smile spreading across her face. “Yes, it was definitely weird.” She chuckled, helping me into bed and tucking me in.
I sat up looking to her. “Where do you sleep?” I asked.
“I’ve got my own room down the hall, and there is a cot in here that I can sleep on.” She said, pointing to a cot that she was setting up.
“Is it comfortable?” I asked, looking at it. It looked so worn down, and uncomfortable.
She shrugged. “Not really, but it doesn’t matter, Fae don’t sleep as much as humans do. I’ll be spending most of my night getting things ready for you for tomorrow.
I shook my head. “You don’t have to do that, I can help you in the morning! Just try to rest, and get plenty of it!” I said, looking at the queen sized bed I was in. “If you want to, you could sleep up here with me. It would be much more comfortable than that cot.” I said, sliding over to one side of the bed. “There is more than enough room!” I smiled.
She walked over looking down at me. “I couldn’t possibly..” she said, shaking her head.
“Oh, okay.” I nodded, looking to her. “I understand.” I said.
She shrugged her shoulders pulling the blankets back and climbing into the bed with me. “Okay.. I’ll sleep here!” she smiled. “But you need to be more careful of the fae you invite into your bed.” She warned.
“What do you mean?” I asked, looking over to her.
“Many fae are followers of NymKarna.. and they’d take an opportunity like this to do something.. untoward.” She said.
I blushed. “Oh.. I wasn’t even thinking about that.. I’ll be careful., I promise.”
