The Depressed Soul

It was just the end of summer and me and my best friend Dontae were hanging out at the park when we realized school was starting soon, we always went to school together but now it would be different this year cause later that day when I got home, I received news that would change my life forever. It's was 3days till school to begin and Dontae and I were hanging out near his pool in his backyard.We laughed and chatted for hours as our feet were in the pool with light breeze blowing against our face, as we chatted my phone rang it was my mom calling me, when I answered she said I should come home as quickly as I could, I could tell she was excited but sad at the same time,so I said said I'm coming over now and hung up, I told Dontae that I was going home so he got a towel and we both dried out feet and went over to my house which just 3 houses away from Dontae's house. I got home in 5 mins and my parents were sitting on the couch waiting the look troubled when I walked in and Dontae came in behind me I greeted them "hey mom, hi dad" then Dontae greeted them "hello Mr and Mrs Wright" they said "hey Donelle and Dontae come sit" we look at each other and then walked over to where they were and sat. Mom opened her mouth and began to speak " Donelle I know your excited for school in a few days but, " then there was a pause for a while she looked at dad then said "we're moving to LA in a day I'm sorry darling" I replied and said can't I just stay here with Dontae while drawing nearer to him dad said "no, we have to bring you with us, we already have a school for you to go over there so we can't let the school go" I started to cry and Dontae hugged me and said " it's gonna be ok Donny you'll be ok over there it's just a days trip I can visit you when I can" I looked at him then got up and ran to my room. I didn't come out till the next day. The day that I came out I had to start packing my stuff . I did for a couple hours then stopped at a photo of me and Dontae, I hugged it and continued then I remembered that I had a matching ring that I was gonna give Dontae when school started then I said if I'm not gonna go to school here why not give him now so that he won't forget me. I eventually left my room and went to his house in which he wasn't there so I asked his mom if I could go into his room and put it there she said ok so I went ahead to do so... the read: hi D this ring symbolizes all the good times we had over 5 years of friendship I hope you never forget me and I'll be back some day. I left his house And went back to mines to finish pack. it was about 7pm when I finish and my phone rang it was Dontae so I answered he said " thanks for the ring and I'll never forget you, I'll always have these memories closer to my heart than ever I love you too boo" then he hung up.
