Warrior Princess

Chapter 4

Leah POV

After I left the gym I went back to the Alpha House. Owen and Jake were already at the training field so it was just mom and dad. They were getting ready for a quiet night knowing we would all be out late.

I run up stairs to quickly shower and get dressed. I blow dried my hair and ran a straightener through it so it is hanging down to my butt and it is glossy and shines like the Moon itself. I then dress in a pair of skinny jeans, black heeled boots and a turquoise crop top. I have a great body and am proud to show off my abs when I can. I put on a little makeup, eyeliner, highlighter, mascara and Mauve lipstick and then head back down stairs.

I check my phone and have a text from Lulu saying that they are at the feild waiting for me. I head to the door when mom stops me.

"Leah?" She calls.

"Yeah mom?" I say walking toward the kitchen.

"You guys be careful and be on alert. Those Rogues are still near by" she says with worry clearly on her face.

"Ma, Owen doubled the night watch and Alpha Zack did the same at his pack and he brought warriors tonight. It would be a mistake to attack tonight" I say trying to calm her down. I walk over and wrap her in a hug.

"Just be aware baby" she says.

"yes ma'am" I reply and then head out the door.

I make the quick the walk over to the feild and I see everyone warming up. I see Liam and Alpha Zack talking and Owen and Jake headed their way. I see Ellie and make a note to talk to her later. When I finally see Lulu she is surrounded by Sun River guys and Rose and Chloe are with her. I don't care for Chloe. She is not a fighter and cares more about her hair and getting her dress dirty than her own safety. She's also known to sleep around and has hinted at having her eye on my brothers. I walk over to them and immediately get the attention from the Sun River Boys as well.

"Hey beautiful" A guy named Shane says to me. He has godly good looks but his reputation is almost as bad as Chloes. He has gorgeous blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. I feel Chloe stiffen as Shane is talking to me and I can't help but smirk.

"Hi Shane" I say smiling at him.

"You going to be at the party tonight?" He asks.

"Yeah I will be there" I say nervously twirling my hair around my finger.

"Good" he says, "I will be sure to find you" and before anything else is said, the whistle is blown to start the game.

"Good luck" I say to Shane with a flirty smile and he winks at me and heads to the feild.

Lulu grabs my arm, "oh my goddess" she says to me. "That's was so hott! He is so hott!"

Rose and I laugh but I can feel Chloes body tense with annoyance. "He's not that good looking." she rolls her eyes. "Not like Owen, Jake and Liam".

I cant control Akita as she whips around growling. "Stay away from my brothers" I say threatening. My eyes begin to glow in anger and, having alpha blood, I unintentionally begin to show dominance.

Chloe's eyes go wide. "Y... y... yes Leah" she says. "I only m... meant that our pack has good looks".

I look at her and try to calm myself. Mentally kicking myself for over reacting. Without another word I just turn and make my way to the bleachers. We all sit together with some of our other friends and sit back to watch the game.

It's a close game. Throughout the game I am cheering for my brothers and my friends. The game is tied and both teams are exhausted. Sun River has the ball and they are doing a pass play, Alex bats the ball out of the air and I can't help but yell encouragement to him. "Way to go Alex! Keep it up! come on Blue Moon!"

Olivia and Rose are also yelling with me but Chloe is just watching. Zack hikes the ball and drops back to make a pass. He throws the ball and right before it drops into Shane's hands, Liam jumps up and catches the ball! He lands on his feet and runs back toward our goal.

"Go Liam!" I feel like im screaming as loud as I possibly can. "woohoo Liam! Go!"

Zack is hot on his tail and tackles him at the 5 yard line. I am jumping up and down with Olivia and now Chloe has forgotten our confrontation from earlier and is screaming for Liam also. I swear he looks up right at us with a giant smile. Our kicker goes out, kicks a feild goal and that is the end of the game.

I run into the feild over to my brothers and give Liam a giant hug. "Liam that was amazing" I say with a big smile.

He smiles back still hugging me "thanks" he says.

He let's me go and I hug each of my brothers also. "Great game boys!"

My friends have made it down to the feild and Chloes puts her hands around Liams arm. "Congratulations Liam. That was so cool" she says to him looking up through her eyelashes.

"Uhhh... Thanks" he said looking uncomfortable. He gets out of her grasp and walks over to Owen, "we better clean up before the party boys. See you guys over there?" He asks me.

"Yep headed to the pack house now" I say glaring at Chloe.

I see Alpha Zack and Ellie then and I turn to my friends, "I will meet you over there" and I walk over to Ellie.

"Alpha! Ellie!" I call out to them.

Ellie turns around with a big smile. Her chocolate brown hair flying around her as she spins around. "Leah!!" She says rushing to give me a big hug.

Alpha Zack joins the hug as well "Hey Princess" he says lovingly looking down at me.

"Great game!" I say to him.

"Thanks" he says wrapping his arms around Ellie.

"Hey, so... My birthday is coming up and I was hoping you guys would come?" I look at Ellie hopeful.

"Heck Yes!" she said enthusiasticly. "We wouldn't miss it".

"Yay! I cant wait!" I say giving them both another hug. "well I will see you at the pack house then!" and with a wave goodbye I head to where my friends are waiting for me.

Once inside the pack house the party is already starting. There is a bar set up in the corner and everyone is dancing. I spot my friends and start walking to them when a hand grabs me around the waist.

"Hey beautiful" A voice says in my ear.

I look up to see Shane and I smile sweetly at him. "OH hey Shane! Great game out there". He looks like he's already downed a few shots.

"Come dance with me" he says giving me his best seductive look.

"Okay" I tell him. "One dance and then I want to find my friends". Akita is dancing in my head happily.

Shane takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. I feels like someone is watching me but I try to ignore the feeling.

Of course someone is watching you. You look hot! Akita says to me.

When the songs was over I smile at Shane who puts his arms around my waist. "I really want to find my friends now" I said.

"come on baby, one more dance" he pleads with me.

"Maybe in a little bit" I reply smiling.

"Then have a drink with me" he tries again.

"I believe she said no already" Liam says coming up behind me. He puts his arm protectively around my stomach and gently pulls me from Shane. He doesn't wait for a reply but turns me around and we head to where my friends are.

"Thanks" I say to Liam. But when I look up at him he looks pissed. "wow, are you okay?"

"I'm fine" he growls. "I just don't like that guy. He acted like he owns you".

"Liam we just danced. And I can handle myself" I say getting a little irritated. He doesn't say anything again, just leads me to Olivia who is practically dying. That's when I notice Liams arm still around my waist. I gently pull myself from him and thank him again as he turns away. I have a weird feeling of longing as he walks away and I instantly miss his arms around me.

Olivia starts rambling about seeing me in Shane's arms and how "hot our dancing was". I cant even keep up with her as I am fighting weird feelings inside. "I think I need a drink" I tell her.

We head over to the bar and that is where Alex and Nate find us. I take 3 shots of screwball one after another. It takes a lot for a werewolf to get drunk but after 3 more shots I begin to feel a buzz.

"You better slow down Lea" Owen says behind me. "I will cut you off".

"Brother, I am good I promise" I give him a smile.

He just glares at me giving me a look of warning before getting a drink and walking back to Liam, Alpha Zack and Ellie. Liam is watching me and I still feel a slight longing to be in his arms again.

Pull yourself together I tell myself.

Maybe he wants to dance with you Kiki says almost purring.

I snort. Kiki. He's Owen's best friend. He doesn't want to dance with me. Only Akita knows about the slight crush I've always had on Liam. It always seemed silly because of our age difference and him being the Beta of the pack.

Lulu comes up to me and before I can say anything she grabs my hand and leads me to the dance floor again. All our friends are dancing in group and we join them. "Thanks" I mouth to her. She just smiles and continues to dance.

After a few songs we get another drink and I am feeling a lot better. I get 1 drink and then we go back to dancing. I feel arms around me again and look up to see Shane again. This time I don't even mind and we continue to dance. I try to ignore the daggers Alex is shooting at me.

"We should get away from prying eyes" Shane says in my ear and he slowly kisses my shoulder. I turn in his arms to look at him and he looks so delicious I can't help but smile.

"And where will we go?" I ask him.

"Anywhere you want baby" he says. He runs his fingers through my hair and brings his lips dangerously close to mine. I see Chloe out of the corner of my eye. She had stopped dancing and looks pissed.

I close the distance and kiss him. We break apart when I hear Chloe squeal, "oh Liam! Want to dance" and then I feel myself ripped from Shane's arms.

"What the hell!" I exclaim and I see Liam grab Shane by the collar.

"Don't touch her again, or I will f*****g kill you." Liam shoves Shane and he looks like he is going to fight Liam for a minute. He decided against it and glares but turns away. Chloe runs after him.

Liam turns to me "go home Leah".

This pisses me off. "No."

"Leah, you've had enough. Go home" he tries again the anger in his voice rising.

"No. I don't have to listen to you" I say a bit childish.

Then I feel Owen behind me. "Come on Leah" he says, and unfortunately, I cannot refuse this time. I follow Owen with Liam right behind me.

"This isn't fair!" I protest at Owen's back when we get outside. I turn to Liam and lose my cool. "And you don't get to threaten anyone that I want to kiss".

Liams eyes go dark, almost black and I don't think I have ever seen him so mad. Before he can reply I storm into the Alpha house and go upstairs.

Ugh! I am never talking to them again! I tell Akita.

Alright, down girl. Maybe they had a reason, although I was enjoying the show. Shane is gorgeous she says and then retreats to the back of my mind to let me deal with my anger. I take a nice warm bubble bath in my bathroom and then get in bed. I slowly begin to drift to sleep when I hear Owen come in.

"Lea" he whispers.

I don't say anything and after a few moments he leaves.
