Chad POV

Walking into Mila’s old house brought back memories from us growing up this was where I would always find her after she had a hard day, I was her brother and whenever she needed me, I was always by her side. It is hard coming back here as her mate and not her brother, life has a strange way of getting all twisted up “Mila, you know better than to run off like that we have been calling you all day” I know I shouldn’t yell at her, but I was worried about her and for her to just disappear without letting anyone know where she would be was unacceptable. “Really, Chad that’s what you want to say to me when you first walk in” Mila screamed at me and every word told me how irritated she was with me “Chad let me do the talking” Kade mind link me, after getting to know Kade a little more I can tell he was the more reasonable one out of all 3 of us “Find you handle her” I said out loud while making my way to the couch, Kade walked over to the couch as well standing in front of our stubborn mate he pulled her up from the couch and hugged her tight before kissing her on the forehead “We were worried about you Mila,” he said with a soft caring tone “s**t why didn’t I show her I cared and was worried about her like that” I thought to myself “Because you’re an i***t” Aztec my wolf said “Shut up Aztec give me a break okay,” I said before blocking him I’ve had enough of him for the time being. I turned my attention to Mila who was now sitting in Kade’s lap “beautiful we are sorry for what we said” Kade said before kissing her on the cheek, I took a deep breath and moved next to them pulling Mila in lap “we were jealous and let it get the best of us” she looked down at me her green eyes twinkling and the most beautiful smile I have ever seen appeared across her lips “You guys were jealous” she said with a soft giggle before getting up and walking toward the kitchen “You two want to have dinner with me here” Mila asked from the kitchen doorway “I would love to beautiful but I have a meeting with a potential ally” Kade was looking at his phone when you told her that, you can see the disappointment in her eyes “I can stay” I told her and once again she awards me with that beautiful smile of hers.

“Actually, I am going to go ahead and leave now, I’ll come back once my meeting is over” Kade sounded irritated you can tell he hated to leave but Alpha's duties will always come first. Kade walked over to where Mila was standing pulled her close and kissed her lip softly “I’ll be back as soon as I can beautiful” He said before turning around looking over at me “Hey Chad take care of our girl try not to piss her off” he chuckled “Don’t worry I’ll treat her like the goddess she is” I said as I got up and wrapped my arms around Mila’s waist, I placed my face in the nape of her neck breathing in her scent “damn she smells like strawberry cupcakes” I thought to myself “I got this Kade now go” I mind linked him “Call me if you guys need me” Kade said before walking out the door.

Mila turned around in my arms, facing me her green eyes connecting with mines “I guess it’s just me and you” her voice barely above a whisper the tone in her voice telling me she was feeling shy. “I’m happy we have some alone time; I think we need to talk” the atmosphere turned serious and I can see the worry look in her eyes as she pulled away from me “What do you want to talk about,” she said leaning up against the wall behind her “ I really am sorry for being an ass today Mila I know what I said to you wasn’t fair and it hurt you” I felt like crap for the way I spoke to her today and the hurt look she gave me will haunt me if I don’t make it right.

“Mila, I have loved you since before I could talk, we were raised together like siblings and this between us is har.” “Are you rejecting me Chad” Mila yelled as she interrupted what I was going to say, her body began to slight tremble for the fear of being rejected, I can see the unshed tears forming in her beautiful eyes, slowly I walked over to Mila and place my hand against her cheek “shhh Don’t talk nonsense I would never reject you, I’m just telling you that its hard for me because one minute I see you like my sister and the next minute my heart feels like it would stop beating if I lost you I have always loved you Mila but now I see you for the gorgeous woman you are and I love you even more than I have loved you before” I lean down and press my lips against hers, my tongue slid across her bottom lip before evading her warm mouth, our tongues dance together caressing against each other, I picked her up our lips never separating as I carry her to the couch, the kiss became more intense as my craving for her became an obsession.

I pulled away broking the kiss just so that I can stare into those beautiful green eyes as she laid under me “I want you so bad baby.” I knew she wasn’t ready to mate yet, but I just couldn’t keep my hands off of her “you’re so beautiful” I said placing my forehead against hers before placing a soft peck against her lips.

It was hard to pull away, my wolf wanted to mate with her, I wanted to mate with her but it wasn’t the right time “you promised me dinner” I said standing up as my body started to calm down “oh right dinner, well stop distracting me” her cheeks became red as she blushed. I pulled her off the couch and wrapped my arms around her “How about we order pizza” I suggested “mmm pizza that sounds a lot better than my cooking” she laughed “How about you order the pizza and I will go freshen up” she gave me a quick kiss on the lips and went upstairs to her room. Once she left I took my phone out of my pocket and order us a pizza, wings, and a 2-liter soda. This has been a fun, relaxing night with my mate “it is getting easier to call her our mate” Aztec softly growl at me “I never had that problem” he said before moving to the back of my mind and cuts off our link; which I was happy for because I didn’t want to argue with him and mess up my wonderful night.

Alpha Kade POV

“Alpha, are you ready the Dark Shadow Pack will be here in 20 minutes?” my beta Ramsey asked me while putting his gun in his holster. “Sure, Ramsey let’s head over to the conference room” ‘Alpha you okay, you don’t look well” it sucked because my beta was right, I was being attacked by this crazy migraine but an Alpha job can never be put on hold so I do what I do the best suck it up and keep pushing myself. The moment I stood up the room began to spend, my entire body ached, my vision became blurry and then everything went black, the sounds around me disappeared. All of a sudden a picture played in my mind, it was me, my beta and a handful of my warriors being ambushed at “where is that place?” I thought to myself “wait that’s my conference room and that’s Alpha Jacob of the Dark Shadow Pack” I didn’t understand what was going on but he was covered in blood and then the picture in my head changed, I’m running in the forest bleeding with wolfs chasing me; my body looks weak and the wolfs started to surround me but before I can see what happened my vision came back, my head stopped hurting and I can now hear my surrounding “Alpha Alpha” my beta Ramsey sound panicked well shaking me “What the hell was that” I thought to myself “I’m okay Ramsey” I noticed I was on my office floor and scratched my head wondering why was I down here “Alpha are you sure you’re okay because you fall to the ground your eyes became white as snow and you wouldn’t respond to me” I dusted myself off as I stood and walked over to my desk and takes a seat. It was quite for a second while I was lost in my thoughts wondering what that was “Aragorn do you have any thoughts on what just happened” I ask my wolf because he seems to know things that I don’t “you had a premonition and right now we don’t have time to get into we have to protect our pack” he was right we needed to get things together. “Ramsey Mind link Mike, and Lucas to come here to my office, we need to prepare for an attack” my beta looked at me weirdly I know what he was thinking but I would explain to them all at once.

Within minutes my gamma Mike and my warhead Lucas was in my office and I was explaining to them what happened, with Ramsey backing up my every word “I want snippers surrounding the packhouse, some in trees and some on the roof of the packhouse, get all our warriors in position and we are going to need Jada and Rayne the fire fairy twins” I was prepared for war but this was just a battel I know we outnumber the Dark Shadow Pack and I was going to show him how bad of an idea it was to double-cross me.

“Have the female beta Michelle and the female gamma Katherine take all women, children, elders, and anyone who can’t fight to the panic room and place four guards outside the room” I gave my orders and mind link my mother asking her to help get everyone in the panic room too.

Here we were sitting in my conference room waiting for the Dark Shadow Pack to entire, I was notified 2 minutes ago that they had crossed our border and my guards were showing them to the conference room, we were going to act like we didn’t know what he had planned until he strikes and then I would rain hell down on him.

“Alpha Kade it’s nice to finally meet you” Alpha Jacob said well entering the meeting room “It is pleasure to meet you as well Alpha Jacob” I said trying to keep my anger a bay “Please take a set and let's get down to business” I said pointing to the other side of the long square table that was in the middle of the room, the conference room was nothing special just 4 white walls and a vent system for air or heat depending on the weather plus a sprinkling system in cause of a fire “Of course Alpha Kade lets get down to business, you would like to be allies with my pack, which I understand since you're new to this area but what do we get with this allies” Alpha Jacob asked while looking me straight into my eyes “you don’t really have anything to bargain with, your pack is strong on the other side of the world but here you’re just weak and would be a burden” my wolf was pissed and wanted to attack him right at that moment but I held him back “Alpha Jacob, we might be new to this area but trust me when I saw my pack is never weak” I smirked at him and that’s when I noticed his beta foggy eyes and I knew it was about to happen “Alpha Kade your arrogance will get you nowhere” he snapped and his beta stood up pointing a gun at Ramsey my beta who just smirked at him, I mind link my pack “Now” and my snipper that was placed in the tree right across from my meeting room shot the Dark Shadow beta in the head dropping him where you stood. Outside you can hear gunshots, fast footsteps, and fighting of both packs. I leaped over the table landing on top of Alpha Jacob who was distracted by his beta being killed, I punched him over and over in his face bringing him back to the task at hand, he pushed me off him trying to make a run for the door, my beta grab him and throw him against the wall his body bounce to the ground, I picked him up and kicked him in his stomach before wrapping my hand around his neck “You thought you could come in here and attack my pack, now look who is the weak pack” I said before slamming his head into the window, glass breaking all over the place “Look at your pack, they are dying because of your poor leadership” I dragged him outside in front of his pack, the moment they saw that I had their Alpha all eyes were on me “Now that I got your attention let me make this very clear, you have two choices die or join my pack but your Alpha is done for” I mind link Jade and Rayne to come by my side “Set him on fire, let him burn” I dropped Jacob on the ground, Jade and Rayne surrounded him fire forming in their hands, pointing their palms at him fire flow out of their palms covering his body with a colorful fire, you can hear his screams echoing through the battel field, you can smell his flesh melting off, and then “boom” his body combusted.

“Get Omar, Kyle, Esteban, Katie, Elizabeth and Olivia tell them I need them,” I told my gamma who left imminently” They were a group of mind wolves who can read people's thought and their auras. I needed to make sure that the wolves I was going to initiate into my pack would not be harmful. I still needed to go over to the Dark Shadow pack and let them know I have taken control of their territory and their pack, kill who I need to and keep the ones that were willing to follow me. Tonight was going to be long and tiring but all I really wanted to do was go see Mila and hold her as we sleep the night away.

Mila POV

After showering and eating dinner my body became exhausted, the day finally catching up to me. “Chad, I think I’m going to head to bed, we can go home tomorrow but do you mind if we stay here just for the night” Chad nodded his head and kissed me on the forehead before I started to head upstairs. Halfway up the stairs, I heard Chad’s phone ring normally I would just keep walking but something told me to stay and listen.

“Hey what’s up” he said with a normal tone, not his flirty voice maybe it's just a friend and not one of his sleeping partners. “She’s in bed now, yes everything was fine, you sound busy what’s going on over there” I sat down on the stairs as I listen to the phone call “maybe it's Kade” I thought to myself as I wonder about who he could be speaking to. “You killed Alpha Jacob, I can’t say I am surprised he was a snake, if you would have told me that was who you were meeting I could have given you a heads up, what are you going to do with his pack” Now I was sure he was talking to Kade “how come he didn’t call me?” I thought to myself but brushed it off “I guess their bromance is getting stronger” I tried to keep my giggles at bay by covering my mouth, thank the goddess that worked “that’s the right thing to do, no need to kill an entire pack plus he used to run his pack by making them fear him, from what I can remember he has his mate locked up in the dungeon because he didn't trust nor respect women” I sat there listening to the phone call as I remember hearing the same rumor, The Alpha of the Dark Shadow pack was a jerk, I’m glad Kade killed him. I heard footsteps and stood up walking to my room and jumping into bed.

Chad walked in with a smirk on his face “Oh your not sneaking Mila, I know you were listening” he said and handed me the phone “Kade want’s you” “Hi beautiful” Kade greeted me and my stomach got butterflies “Hi love, what’s going on” I said trying not to sound like my world felt right while talking on the phone with Kade and having Chad right in front of me “Just a few things, I’ll tell you when I see you but I wanted to let you know I might not be around for a few days just need to handle somethings” My eyes widen and my stomach felt sick “How could he disappear for a few days without telling me why” I took a deep breath but my anger was starting to boil inside “Kade what’s going on you can’t just tell me you wont be around without a reason” I snapped at him as I looked over at Chad who eyes wouldn’t even look at me, oh these two were going to piss me off again “ Beautiful I know you were listen to me and Chad talk so you know I killed Alpha Jacob, I am taking over his pack and it’s going to take a few days to do it, Okay” I rolled my eyes at myself duh I knew that “Oh okay, I understand, I could come help you” I suggested “No, Mila I can’t have you around this right now, just give me a few days I will be back on Saturday in time for us to go see the elders, deal” I pouted but Chad came over to me and wrapped me in his arms, my body instantly relaxed the moment he touched me “Fine Kade” I said leaning into Chads chest “I promise to make it up to you Mila” he said his tone giving away that he was smirking on the other side of the phone “oh I will hold you to that love” I said in the most seductive and flirty tone that I have ever used. We said our goodbyes and I handed the phone to Chad “hey, you know she is piss right?” Chad asked him with a soft giggle “don’t worry I got her you just take care of your business, if you need me, hit me up” they said their goodbyes, and Chad hung up the phone.

“ I guess it's just me and you, my love” Chad said as he climb into bed patting the spot next to him, I moved closer to him and he pulled me even closer, his arms wrapped around me, I looked up at him and he smiled at me “I love the way you feel in my arms” he whispered into my ear before kissing my on the forehead “Let's go to bed we do have school tomorrow” I knew I was tired and once I felt his warmth around me, my eyes closed and I fell into a dreamless sleep.
