Celendria quaked slightly as a hard wrapping broke across the cabin door.
"Shhh, it's okay Little one, your safe. Just stay here, I will see to the visitor."
Silas proceeded to stand from the bed looking down briefly at Celendria. Everything in him at that moment wanted to kiss her. She was so delicate and frail. The look of fear hidden behind her eyes was now faint, yet it still haunted him. He knew he would have to explain things to her soon.
He sauntered to the door only opening slightly as to not reveal her on the bed.
"Ehh... Beta Terrin, this isn't a good time."
Silas's voice seeped with annoyance at the alcohol drenched Beta before him.
"Nonsense come and enjoy the days raucous festivities Alpha. Everyone expects you to attend you led the troops in the battle
after all."
Silas quietly growled under his breath running his hand down his face. He looked backward at Celendria twirling the fabric of his shirt around her finger, nerves obviously swallowing her mind.
As Silas was distracted the tipsy Beta pushed himself through the doorway. As soon as his eyes landed on her he froze. He sheepishly looked over to his Alpha before him.
Silas's teeth were violently clenched and his fists white with rage. His normally dark eyes grew to cavernous voids. His incisor teeth lengthened and sliced as they pushed out from behind his tightened lips.
The Beta bowed almost stumbling to the floor as he lowered himself.
"Forgive me Alpha, I did not mean to intrude." His eyes briefly floated back to the scantily clad Celendria now cowering in the corner, her long legs tucked against her, revealing the backs of her upper thighs.
Silas's Wolf overpowered him. In mere seconds he was on all fours His black eyes now glowing a brilliant fiery hue. His ebony fur stood on end.
The Beta was only broken from his devouring gaze of Celendria by the wolf biting deeply into his bare arm and throwing him out the cabin onto the muddy ground.
Silas's Wolf then slammed the door closed with his tail and turned to see Celendria cowering in the corner, her body trembling in terror.
The wolf slowly sauntered towards her. She pushed herself up against the wall as far as she could. Her blood grew cold and for the first time in her existence she truly feared death.
As the wolf reached her he surprisingly patted her knee with his paw, attempting to convey for her to lay her legs on the floor. She obeyed, and as soon as her flesh hit the cold wood the wolf laid down next to her and rested it's head on her lap. His orange orbs turned towards her, he whimpered quietly, nudging her hand with his muzzle.
She hesitantly placed her quivering hand upon his fur and ran it from his head and down his back. He smelled of cedar and bonfire. His fur was lush and soft. The wolf relaxed under her touch, growing lax against her. His eyes slowly faded back to their original ebony shine.
Silas regained his control but didn't shift back. He was terrified of how she would react. The last thing he wanted was for her to run. It took so long to find her, let alone get her here. He was going to tell her eventually, but it was never meant to happen like this. Curse Terrin and his stupidity. What the Hell's was he thinking barging in here like that. I will have him running borders for months for this.
Silas huffed returned to all fours and yanked a pair of pants from his drawer. He walked out with them between his teeth into the fireplace side of the living area where she couldn't see him.
Unbeknownst to Silas Celendria, gifted in being light footed rose up from the floor and snuck to the door way. She watched as Silas shifted back to his human form. Her face flushed at his naked body. His back rippled with muscles. the occasional scar slicing through his otherwise porcelain flesh. She felt a heat in her center as she scanned him up and down. He is so rugged and attractive, is this what it's like to...love someone.
The thoughts and words danced through her head, distracting her from the scene unfolding before her.
Silas finished dressing and turned to see her watching from the doorway of the bedroom.
"Have you heard the phrase curiosity killed the cat." his voice was joking yet stern.
Broken from her trance, Celendria turned beat red. She meant to disappear into the bedroom before he turned back around.
He approached her slowly, testing the waters so to speak. As he saw she stayed put he grew closer.
"Huhhh...You weren't meant to find out this way." He sighed ruffling his obsidian hair with his large fingers.
"I'm a werewolf, Celendria." His black eyes gazed up to read her expression.
She knew after the display but it was nice to hear him still say it. She had her suspicions from the night he captured her. She recalled seeing his shape morph in the darkness. Then it dawned on her, that was the first time he actually used her name. She had no idea why but her name rolling of his tongue lit her insides aflame.
"I..I knew. It's okay, I can sense you won't hurt me." Her voice trembled. She didn't know how but she could feel his affection towards her, his gaze was soft and his posture relaxed.
Silas was slightly shocked by her manner of understanding. He carefully approached her and offered his hand.
She gazed down at his enormous palm and sheepishly placed her, miniscule in comparison, hand in his.
"We need to talk...alone "
His head motioned to the crowd gathering outside the cabin attempting to peer in.
She nodded as he swept her up and sat her on his back.
"Hold on tight!"
She obliged wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his torso. She tightened as the door flung open and Silas ran at an intangible speed to the forest north of the village.
