White noise surrounded him. Not the kind of noise that was used to lull babies to sleep, but a decibel level perfectly calculated for t*****e. He thought silence would be his comrade here, but it seemed Luiza had other plans. The noise was deafening, never easing for a moment as it screamed its incessant hushing.
