Elsa Pov As Roselle walked away with her entourage, I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. Gold turned to me with a sympathetic smile. "Sorry about Roselle. She can be a bit...much sometimes." I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "It's okay, I've dealt with worse. She's just a little...prickly, huh?" Gold laughed. "That's one way to put it. Roselle's a bit of a queen bee around here. But don't worry, she's all bark and no bite. Mostly." I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Queen bee, huh? What's her story?" Gold leaned in, lowering her voice. "Roselle's family is super wealthy and influential. Her dad is basically a business tycoon. She's used to getting what she wants, when she wants it." I nodded, understanding. "That explains a lot. But I have to say, I'm not impressed. I've met people like her before." Gold grinned. "I like your style, Elsa. You're not easily intimidated, are you?" I smiled back. "Not really. I've learned to stand up for myself." As we walked into the library, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. The quiet atmosphere and rows of books were a welcome respite from the drama outside. Gold showed me her favorite study spots, and we spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and getting to know each other better. But I couldn't shake the feeling that Roselle was going to be a problem. And I was ready for her. Bring it on, Roselle. As the afternoon wore on, Gold and I grew more comfortable with each other. We discovered we had similar interests in literature and music, and our conversations flowed easily. I felt like I'd known her for years, not just hours. As we packed up to leave, Gold turned to me and said, "Hey, want to grab dinner with me tonight? I'm buying." I smiled, grateful for her kindness. "That sounds amazing, thanks. But I should probably get going. I have to unpack and get settled." Gold nodded understandingly. "No worries, I get it. How about we plan something for tomorrow instead? We can grab brunch and explore the campus some more." I agreed, and we exchanged numbers to make plans. As I walked to the bus station to get a bus back home, I felt a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. Maybe this college thing was going to work out after all. I miss Aunty Victoria, I can't wait to get home. RED BLOOD PACK Skye's POV: As the elders departed, I turned to Riven and nodded. "Time to get to work. We need to gather more information about the Luna's whereabouts and prepare for our journey to the human world. "Riven nodded, his eyes already scanning the horizon. "I'll start gathering intel and making arrangements for our trip. We'll need to be careful, though. The human world can be unpredictable. "I nodded in agreement. "I'll reach out to our contacts and see if they can provide any more information about the Luna. Let's meet back here in an hour and discuss our plan of action." Riven nodded and disappeared into the shadows, leaving me to ponder the challenges ahead. I couldn't help but wonder what the Luna would be like. Would she be strong and fierce, or would she be tainted by the human world? Only time would tell. As I sat down at my desk, I noticed a piece of parchment with a cryptic message scrawled on it: "Be prepared for betrayal." My instincts went on high alert. Who could be behind this message, and what did they want? I crumpled the parchment in my hand, determination burning within me. We would find the Luna, no matter what dangers lay ahead. Riven's POV As I followed Skye into the throne room, I couldn't help but notice the weight of the elders' gazes. They were worried, and rightly so. The human world was a vast and unpredictable place. What if the Luna had been corrupted by human influence? What if she didn't possess the strength and ferocity of our pack? I stood beside Skye, my eyes scanning the room as the elders presented their concerns. Skye's calm demeanor was reassuring, but I knew him well enough to sense the underlying tension. He was determined to find the Luna, to bring her back to our pack and teach her the ways of the wolf. As the meeting concluded, I turned to Skye and whispered, "I'll start gathering intel on the human world. See if I can dig up any information on the Luna's whereabouts." Skye nodded, his eyes locked on mine. "Be discreet, Riven. We don't know what kind of danger we might face in the human world." I nodded, a plan already forming in my mind. I'd use my contacts, my network of informants and allies, to gather as much information as possible. The human world might be unpredictable, but with Skye by my side, I was ready for whatever lay ahead. Riven's POV: I made my way to the pack's intelligence hub, a dimly lit room filled with maps, documents, and whispers. Our pack's network of informants and spies was vast, and I knew I could count on them to provide valuable insights. I began to sift through the information, searching for any mention of the Luna's whereabouts. Hours passed, and my eyes grew tired, but I refused to give up. Suddenly, a name caught my attention: Skyline University. According to our sources, a young woman with an unusual aura had been spotted on campus. The description matched what the Moon Goddess had told Skye. I felt a surge of excitement. This could be it. I quickly compiled the information and sent it to Skye. We might have found our lead. Now, all we had to do was get to the human world and find the Luna before anyone else did. The thought sent a shiver down my spine. The human world was full of unknowns, but with Skye by my side, I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Skye's POV: I received the message from Riven, and my heart skipped a beat. Skyline University? A young woman with an unusual aura? It had to be her. I quickly made my way to the meeting point, my mind racing with possibilities. As I arrived, Riven was already there, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Skye, I think we've got her," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. I nodded, my determination growing. "Let's get moving. We need to find her before anyone else does." Riven nodded, and together we began to make plans for our journey to the human world. We would have to be careful, though. The humans were unpredictable, and we didn't know what kind of danger we might face. But I was ready. I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as it meant finding the Luna and bringing her home. With Riven by my side, I felt a sense of reassurance. We would find her, no matter what it took. As we finalized our plans, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. What would the Luna be like? Would she be strong and fierce, or would she be timid and unsure? Only time would tell. But one thing was certain: we would find her, and we would bring her home.
