31 Kira stumbled through the front door of her apartment, nearly tripping over a pair of men’s running shoes as she juggled her keys in one hand and the cat carrier in the other while teetering in Laura’s heels. She was completely numb with exhaustion. Trevor came in behind her with the rest of the cat-related gear. “Kira?” Rob called out from the living room in a wary tone that made her pause. “What are you doing home so early?
